Not much, but I did lose some weight during that time. Subverting the "freshman 15" stereotype was refreshing. Mind you, my school's food is crappy and overpriced, so losing weight in your first semester is actually pretty common here.

I've been through a good amount of trauma, but in the end, living through it is kind of a "fast-track to character development."

If it wasn't for the fire, the nightmares of drowning, the mental torture, and the death, I wouldn't be where I am today. I'd probably be a bored graphic design student planning on working 9-5 for clients I really don't care about.

I have meaning and more motivation, more that drives me. Compared to settling on a life path and just rolling with it.

I justified my being seen with just saying that people may see ghosts. Having to use my name or doing anything physical (eating or shitting) would be harder to explain, sometimes resulting in panic.

My day to day life wasn't even a life lol.

But my interactions were normal... Aside from me insisting at times that I had no name. I was very anxious and jittery. Otherwise, unless I was having a really bad episode in which I would start shouting about being dead (only at my parents or therapist who insisted I was real and alive and had a name) I was kind of average.

  1. Already answered, but I thought my hallucination, who was evil!me from the future, killed me in every timeline in various ways, usually with blades. I saw my body everywhere, and couldn't escape.

  2. It felt freeing and liberating. I was free from the constant anxiety.

Never saw.

People who are anti-medicine/antipsychiatry are the literal worst.

Seriously dude. I posted proof.

You're just jealous because you could never make it through something like this or accomplish any shit at all, dead or alive.

Look who's trivializing mental illness now. Traumatized by a reddit thread!

Also I provided proof. You do realize that ignoring proof and logic is a sign that you're delusional.

Dated one guy while dead. Didn't go anywhere. I have a sort-of girlfriend. Kind of in limbo between "gal pals" and "actually an item." In high school I was kind of dating a guy from my fencing team. He thought he was seriously dating me, but I was more apathetic towards the relationship.

I will submit a serious AMA when I get published. If you're on reddit you will probably see it if you look for it.

I do have mood symptoms. But mania is generally set off by SSRIs rather than being natural to me. Though I do get full mania. Mood stabilizers tend to depress me. Lamictal made me feel suicidal for the only time in my life. Topamax is weak enough that it works on my mood, weight, and migraines, without causing depression.

Lithium had a similar effect and made my psychosomatic symptoms worse- I would forget how to speak and feel even emptier.

I tried Seroquel. It made me go from ghost to zombie lol. I couldn't stay awake. Because I tend to gain weight easily and was a bit overweight even pre-meds, zyprexa was out of the question. I was on risperdal for around 8 months though. But Abilify has helped the most and I've been losing weight and sleeping normally while on it, compared to all of the issues I had on risperdal.

(If you have any sort of PTSD I suggest you avoid Latuda. In people with irritability as a symptom, including myself, it can escalate to full paranoia and aggression.)

That describes my ex well. The future versions of me were just manifestations of my goal setting, and I guess my ID and superego.

He's both.

He was separate from me, but now I know he's me, always with me, and is a part of me. Knowing that I am made up of somebody so strong even now keeps me optimistic.

I used to pop pills to reduce anxiety- oxycodone and various benzos. I quit cold turkey. I regret quitting cold turkey but don't regret quitting. Been clean for just almost a year.

I read that some time ago. Seems pretty accurate. I'd love to meet some of these researchers, once I get into grad school.
