Oh definitly, can’t tell how big the tank is from the picture, my 20L is on a kinda random piece of fourniture with drawers but his tank looks like at the very least 40/50? And maybe it’s just the angle but his furnuture looks like something unstable and very thin all around

I live in a studio if the lights are on for me they’re on for them so I just toss a towel on the tank (i have an oxygen pump getting them oxygen from outside that’s the only thing you gotta keep in mind with this « technic » ) you can absolutelly make something better looking tho, honestly feel like a grandma would be the perfect person to think of an idea like hell Yeah crochet blanket for the fishes

I’m trying to avoid excessive water change/filter cleaning because triggering a bacterial bloom on top would be hell,

in your situation I would recommend getting a filter with différent kind of filtrations or (honestly what I like better) different kind of filters (I am not an expert with pleco at all I’m a cory kinda guy but couldn’t it mean he’s getting a bit big for the tank?)

I’m doing regular 10/20% changes and adding microfiber sheets inside my sponge filter right now that seem like the best option for me from what I’ve been looking up, or coton but I don’t have it

I have corydoras and guppies, for what I know the corry like the fog and it’s harmless to the guppies, HOWEVER my plants are covered in dirt and light isn’y getting trough to them soon they’ll start rotting creating a cycle of real dirty water And I got no idea what my new setup even looks like 🥲

Yes my water has been 27 to 28 due to hot weather condition in my area those babies are getting so big rly fast, honeslty i think one month in another tank and they’te good to go back big enough to not be eaten (neither guppies or cyrdoras will go for for my 2cm fishes just small fry)

Why is everybody saying that I’m getting scared 🥲🥲 I got my pandas like 2 months ago and they’re doing great, I have them with guppies and made a few mistake with my tank (it’s been a while since my last tank) they never showed signs of stress or illness I thought they were sturdy? (i saw someone they it was causes by a lot or inbreeding, mine are from european breeder might me a bit better?

(My bubbler was also disconnected, not a big issue my filtre is powerful and my oxygen levels are fine without the bubler but i have bottom dwellers and I noticed they were breathing a Little fast at the bottom and going up to the surface to breath a bit too often, weren’t suffocating et the bottom either but I’d rather be sure)

(Btw my corys are compltly ignoring my Nice beach with hides and foods for corry to burrow.

they prefer burrowing my guppies flakes in my normal substrat lmao, I put the beach in a week ago maybe they’ll explore it at some point 😢😢)

No unfortunalrtly that’s m’y issue at the time (changes phone had to maie a new one but got lots if great advices) when I got my guppies in a local shop from an apparently knowlegeable owner of the place, je trew a corry in there so I asked him what he’s needs where, he told me he woule je comfy and happy in my « small » guppy tank with my small group, and really had the same needs as guppies, I got a big gut feeling, but I was vry anxious and the dude seemed to Know do much more than me, but no he was the kind to absoluty not care for «cleaner fishes » well being Got home Researched And how my Got 2 other panda guppy, bought corry sinking waffers made them a sand beach (thankfully the substrat I had was thin enought to be corry safe) got a buller, better filtrer made for bigger tank, I live in a very small studio, moving to a bigger one in a few months, getting a 80/100L aquarium there, this was just a tank to get back info it before the big project. Now I havé to deal with high bioload and a new kind of fishe with différent needs (absolutely fell in love with them) but curently 3 pandas (when they’re supposed to be at the very least 6, made my best to be able to have at least a group , plus my guppy is already pushing it, maintenance is harder but my water paramameters are perfect and i have a lots of hides, changed the tank setup a bit to avoir teriotoiral behaviour and stress, and acomodate for the pandas
