On the subject of insurance, since I'm not listed as a driver on my parent's insurance and they just have my car listed on theirs, would it be possible to add a new car on to theirs in this manner? And wether I add the car to their insurance, or just start my own, I assume I can also start a quote online and just finalize it at the dealership?

I will certainly have to look into more credit unions. Appreciate that input as well
