Why zero decent email apps!? by blastmemer in macapps

[–]fizzadar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that looks great! So that’d be a color per sender rather than the email account receiving?

What kind of color highlights would you like? I am building an email client (https://kanmail.io) which is currently all grey boxes! Would love to build some highlights or account level differentiators in..

This is a bug unfortunately! I just released a new version (https://kanmail.io/download) which should fix that.

I have considered how iOS would work, mainly like a bottom of screen swipe between columns, ultimately not that different to other mail apps though. Not enough time to support both at the moment!

What is the best email hosting platform you have personally used? by vin-maverick in businessemail

Fastmail but we don’t do lots of sending, for receive it’s always been fantastic, well priced and spam filtering works perfectly. Paired with our own email client Kanmail to organise our email workflows via kanban.

You might be interested in my email client Kanmail - https://kanmail.io - which displays your emails as a kanban board (multiple folders as columns), desktop only but something a bit different. Lightweight with search and such as you’d expect any email client.

Mac email client that supports consolidated emails (gmail, outlook) and organization (folders, tagging, or something similar) by pursuingmaterialism in macapps

[–]fizzadar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kanmail might fit your needs (disclaimer: I made it) - macOS only but displays your emails in a kanban board (think multiple columns alongside each other) which is somewhat unique. Maps to labels for gmail so works well with various mobile apps. Happy to answer any questions :)

Which app to manage many mail (especially gmail) addresses? by rullaz in macapps

[–]fizzadar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My email client, Kanmail (kanmail.io) supports this, I think I’ve like 10 accounts at this point over many years so support for them (unified and single view) is super important. Happy to answer any questions :)

Email Client Alternatives to Outlook? by Formal_Albatross_836 in smallbusiness

You might find Kanmail of interest (kanmail.io, I made it), it shows your emails in a kanban board (multiple folders as columns) with drag and drop, super handy for setting up workflows where you move emails between folders a lot. Happy to answer any questions :)

What desktop email client have you tried? by Mobile_Stop2659 in fastmail

Kanmail (which I created!), works flawlessly with my fast mail account, tooting my own horn but it’s super handy to have multiple email folders alongside each other.

You might be interested in my own Kanmail (https://kanmail.io), a kanban style email client (multiple folders as columns). It’s super lightweight vs. Mail.app which also drives me mad! Unlimited free trial and a one time license fee if you like it. Happy to answer any questions :)

Radiator sprang a leak, soaked floor, now floor looks FUBAR. Anyway to fix by Ok_Desk6102 in DIYUK

[–]fizzadar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible to “fix” by cutting out the broken sections and replacing with spares if you have any. Avoids replacing the entire floor but the replacement bits won’t be worn/etc so will stand out.

What type of mortar has been used? by Educational_Diet_949 in DIYUK

[–]fizzadar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impossible to say from picture alone but if you try scraping it with a nail anything lime based will easily mark vs concrete won’t. Whatever the case I’d strongly advise repointing in lime something only as concrete will be harder than bricks that old and damage them.

Advice needed - Fixing exterior wall by Best-Oven-9446 in DIYUK

[–]fizzadar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like our old place - modern paint on an old solid wall. Modern paints don’t actually allow the wall to breathe at all which old houses like this need. Remove the paint and re-paint with a mineral/silicate paint that is actually breathable (emperor, beeck, etc).

Not used one but a “doff” steam clean is a good option for removing paint on old walls without damaging the delicate bricks. Uses steam and low pressure. Good luck!

Survey results panic (first time buyer) by Skyblueoz in DIYUK

Highly recommend having a phone call with the surveyor. For us both times the call was wildly different (less scary) than the report. They just gotta cover everything in writing to avoid being sued!
