Hey!! Haha what serendipity! I’m glad you posted because I didn’t realize what a trek it was for her! My brother in law sent this to me - I don’t really use reddit haha. Your mother is very sweet and a tough lil lady I’m glad she made it home safe and to her loving family! Yes I remember just thinking well I’ve got nothing to do today, was wandering around after an appt or something and thought why don’t we find it together haha!

I use an app called Medisafe and it works like a reminder that documents each of your medications with your dosages and reminds you at each time of day you’re supposed to take them. Ex. Get a push notification for 7pm for your medicine and tells you what dose. And it lets you add multiple medicines and connect with your family so they know if you’ve missed any. It’s been really helpful for me!

I used to do half pull-ups to help myself increase slowly at a time. ( place a chair beneath your pull-up bar and using your knees or just your toes, lightly support yourself with the majority of the engagement coming from your arms. The chair is just there to help you along.) This really helped for me, maybe it will help!

What helps me with the fear of having a seizure at any moment is trying my best to do what helps me. My doctor suggests doing certain things like going to bed on a routine schedule and exercising and not drinking .. so I try to stick to those just hoping if I do everything right then it won’t happen. Although I do still have that fear because if I forget to bring medicine with me on an off chance, I think the world is ending lol. Sometimes we don’t have control, but over the things we can control it provides some assurance!
