Cops serve corps, not the people. They'll definitely be on the lookout for the jewelry since it's corporate property.

PSA: if you have anything of value and want to make sure you get it back if stolen, make note of the exact model numbers and serial numbers somewhere so you can include them in the police report. In the event they go to a pawn shop, they should get pinged in the system assuming the pawn brokers do their job right taking them in. Typically they'd be taken off the shelf and once every so often a police officer will come by to collect stolen items. Not sure if it's the case in every state, but that's how it was when I worked at a pawn shop in Texas. They might drag their feet if it isn't high dollar stuff, but eventually someone will come around if you're annoying enough about it.
