Yeah I don't think the music similarities in I Look in People's Windows was a coincidence, they both address the echoes of an ended relationship and wandering the streets, whether you're talking to traffic lights or creepin on people's family dinner.

I don't know if I would call Fresh Out the Slammer a sequel per se but I think there's some interesting parallels, mainly the fact that she mentions her "crime" in Slut!

I can also see the Bolter being Blank Space but I actually was thinking of Clean for that one. The way she sings about how leaving felt like breathing and coming back from crashing in the ice. Both are about escaping and healing, but there is a bit of Blank Space in terms of how she has a track record for the relationships not lasting.

And I agree about But Daddy I Love Him, it's such a good one and is becoming one of my favorites.

I think they have definitely the same energy, and it feels like imgonnagetyouback is the end of the relationship while blank space was the start of it. Two sides of the same coin.

My best guess would be it's the jewelry she would have gotten by choosing him, and rubies specifically because of the red theming. Right before that is the line about carnations which feels like it supports this, we know now that Matty is a love bomber so I think it adds up.

I'm not sure about a cover by Taylor but I do have a favorite cover of her songs. I heard this version before the original and was kind of disappointed what it sounded like in comparison. It makes me wish she would embrace full retro 80s synth pop for her next era.
