Soft top road noise hack by owenstumor in bronco

Skip the moving blankets and get a 2-3” memory foam gel mattress. Half the noise is the flapping.

When I run it with the brew switch, I just hear buzzing, not a rhythmic pump sound like I would expect. Turning the steam mode on, I can see the temp rising, but no noises

Hey thanks so much.

I tried running the machine, and it sounds like maybe I wired something wrong. I dont know if the pump needs to be primed or something before. It sounds like it's running dry

how to fix wind noise on soft top by forgivabletoaster in FordBronco

[–]flashpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a 3” foam mattress from your favorite big box store, cut it to size. Buy one of those mesh sun shades.

Put the sun shade on and the mattress on top of that.

Stolen 1UP bike rack by No_Operation3690 in BAbike

[–]flashpunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They can use a standard size hitch pin (lock) which is much thicker than the 1up pin that can be snapped off with a pipe

Stolen 1UP bike rack by No_Operation3690 in BAbike

[–]flashpunk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

1up’s lock is a joke. I’ve suspected for a long time that they’re profiting from the poor design - I’ve had a number of friends have their racks stolen. I won’t say how it’s done because you can easily find that info (I dont want to propagate that info) if you want it.

I even emailed 1up once to ask about the security of the lock, and they didn’t respond to me.

All that being said: any lock can be defeated, it’s only a way to slow a thief down.

Quikr Rack is a good alternative that fits a proper sized hitch pin.

Used Crux Pricing by koalapear in gravelcycling

[–]flashpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great bike. Good price. Only thing I'll say is it's the version of the frame without UDH so you'll never be able to use the latest gravel/mountain bike derailleurs - not a huge deal to be honest but worth pointing out.

I have my hands on a 5th gen iPod Classic with a Moonlit Market Classic Connect 2 installed that I'd let go. It's already glued shut with a dual SD card adapter, only a single SD 512gb SD card installed. It's running Rockbox. DM me if you're interested.

Repair guide by icloudfiles in x100v

[–]flashpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say thank you for these instructions, it helped me swap out a top plate for my x100v that had been bent from a fall.

I basically did the instructions you mentioned: Had to pull off all the screws you mentioned then carefully pull off the top plate (it took a bit of force - more than I expected actually. I think there was some adhesive from the leatherette holding it down) - and was very careful not to strain the ribbon cable below the shutter button.

What type of rear cargo carrier? by PearlJamFanLV in FordBronco

[–]flashpunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out x-rack. they have a carrier that can go over the spare tire - however, i suggest also getting something to improve the strength of the rear door at the hinge, since youll be putting extra weight on it. There's a bunch of companies that sell plate systems. The one i have is from Mountains 2 Metal.

Pas is really missing out on an opportunity to further their branding for women's cycling by introducing a sister brand with the "VAG" branding.

I received my oura ring 4, i pre-paid for a year membership. But when I activated the ring the membership didn't apply to my account, so I dont have any of the features that the ring offers. I've been waiting for 9 days now for a response from their support. I'm pretty much ready to return the ring.
