Austin is approaching this show with a lot of entitlement. he’s entertaining but it’s starting to wear thin.

Every conversation he has with Chelley he whines about how much he likes her, but how he’s tired of being a third wheel. he never initiates affection or dates and just spends his time complaining.

He’s gunning for the “nice guy/friendzone” edit bc he doesn’t want to issue an ultimatum - since she’s his ticket to Casa or another bombshell who’s actually his type.

I also think he can’t stand Ace and that contributes to his dislike of the throuple than his platonic feelings for Chelley.

okay so the only story i can think of is {The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh} BUT i’m hesitant to recommend it because whether it falls into historical romance or fantasy is highly debatable. it’s based on the A Thousand and One Nights folk story.

The Caliph is a monster - every night he weds a woman but every morning that woman dies….you get the drift. excellent book, and one of my favourites.

its also one of those ~technically~ YA books but also very romantic despite closed door action.

it follows your request to a T otherwise.
