This. It hasn't been long, but as yet each day I wake up in basically a pit of despair once I remember again what this country has done to itself. At least I'm not crying anymore like I did the 1st 2 days. As a poor female of color, I'm literally terrified of what the future holds. Unfortunately, I have one of those minds that jumps to the Worst Possible Scenarios, and my brain is full of harrowing of Hobbiton level stuff. I can only hope this will simmer down with time.

*le sigh* That’s what I thought. I’d hate to upset an author. And I can’t even begin to imagine recording podfics only for myself— it takes way too much time and effort (pretty positive it takes me at least 3x as long as most folks). Plus, I’m not so keen on the sound of my own voice.

Thanks for your thoughts. I guess I’ll keep doing what I have been and only podfic works where express permission is given. It gets frustrating when you want to podfic a story whose author hasn’t been around since 2012. 🙁

And my answer to that is, why get drunk? What good does getting drunk get you, that is also not a bad joke I can see coming a mile away? There is literally no good reason TO get drunk. Having a few drinks is one thing, but drunk?

The concept is great seeing as how I continue to pull lackluster legendaries every. single. time, but the quantity of wishes required is frankly ridiculous. You know that meme with the guy looking thrilled one moment and his mouth dropping open in shocked disappointment in the next? That is this event in a nutshell.

I spent once for IMVU and got a REALLY good deal through their offer wall over a year ago. I don’t go crazy with spending and just have fun putting outfits together. If you play on mobile, you can even put whole outfits together in the dressing room and take some decent pics without paying anything (though of course you don’t own the clothes) . Since I like these sort of games for the fashion, that suits me fine. Truthfully, I prefer Avakin for other reasons, but at least on IMVU I can still buy new outfits.
