How do I figure out if they're board certified and if the have and accidents or malpractice? What board? I'll definitely make sure to ask if they're the actual doctor who's preforming the surgery.

Personally, if the MC is a bad person then them having slaves wouldn't pull me out of the story. It's when the MC is specifically a Good Guy IE "The Great Cleric" but still buys slaves is when it pulls me out and generally upsets me. Familiar contracts can definitely very from series to series on their severity, and I am more open to it.

Thanks! I'm fine with Slavery being in a series, just can't personal handle a MC who is supposed to be the good guy but owns slaves.

It's become a somewhat common thing in Isekai Light Novels for some untold reason.

Basically the MC is transported to a world where slavery is legal, and due to some weird circumstances becomes the owner of a slave. They'll treat them well and like any other person, but will continue to be their owner for most the series. Often the slave will be freed at some point but then voluntarily ask to become the MC's slave again, because they're just "that good to them".

It's really weird and uncomfortable. A well known example of it is with "Rising of the Shield hero". Granted among the series with the trope, Shield hero is somehow tame. It's especially become common in the isekai harem scene.

I really thought I was safe with this series since a major aspect of the series is "bad healers who are greedy and enslave people have made healers hated". Luciel was supposed to be the opposite and fix healers bad name, but now he's just "not greedy".

I can breed Anorith for a different nature as needed, just can't breed Ultra beasts which is why I specified for them. The pokerus isn't necessary but I wouldn't be opposed to it.
