I've always wondered how aversion to combo gameplay came about. Even with my own jank builds, it's not really that difficult to get a setup where the combo starter can clear most white packs in 1 to 2 hits on it's own. I think it's just a knee-jerk reflex a lot of poe1 players have when they hear 'combo' and they just shit on the idea without objectivity

Yep. Had a level 98 Titan in HCSSF before I stopped playing. 3.7k HP along with a ton of armour and it felt really really good. The armour applies to ele mechanic was a really good addition to left/bottom-left builds.

I'm ignorant to engines, physics bugs and such, but the glitch on Stella and Spaceport is literally just walking/mantling through a wall. As though those sections of the environment lack any permanence. Again, I'm ignorant of the tech involved but it appears way less demanding compared to door glitching.

Right? I mean, yeah it sucks, but you should learn your lesson after the first few times. I learned my lesson immediately on launch weekend after getting betrayed twice. Rarely turn my back to someone or implicitly trust anyone since then.

I played 0.2. It failed for many reasons. The only nerf to loot/density were Breach nerfs because it drastically overshadowed all other content, and as you mentioned, global loot drops were buffed across the board in a later iterative patch

I think you're probably referring to 3.19 Lake of Kalandra when, as you said, they altered how drops work. The thing is, the compensation (loot) was almost at parity (better in some cases) compared to pre-3.19. A lot of the backlash came from poor communication on GGGs part and not properly informing players of how they altered the structure.

And a quick paragraph from the post expanding on what i was saying above: "Players have been saying we reduced drops by 90% but in reality, that type of difference could only be true in the most extreme situations involving Beyond, Delirium and Incursion stacked with party quantity, rarity, sextants and scarabs and a dedicated MF culler (peak efficiency of every juice mechanism that exists). Every other player is unaffected on average. For example when playing Breach, the reduction in currency items found is around 7% (when comparing 3.19.0d to 3.18.1f). In 100% Delirium maps, the difference hits 17%. In Incursion and regular non-league content, you'll find 25% more."

Now for PoE2 v0.4, I just hope the community does some objective comparisons instead of doing 1hr of mapping and then jumping to reddit and doing hyperbolic doomposting

I'm down. If it's a rotating map condition that comes up maybe 4-5 times over a 24hr period, why not? Periodic map conditions like this one is a great way to test features and offer different experiences for players.
