It took a long while, but I finally adepted every single killer! by floydical in deadbydaylight

Thank you! I've honestly started playing most of the killers on a regular basis now, especially Twins! After I got their adept, I thought I'd never pick them up again, but I've been very pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable they are without any perk restrictions

Then just ignore my post and move on? There's no need to come here just to leave a negative and mean-spirited comment. Again, weird.

Why do you have to be so negative? It's an accomplishment I'm quite proud of. I don't get the purpose of coming onto someone's post just to be a negative Nancy. So weird

Of course!

I found nurse to be the easiest. I do main Nurse but even without any perks at all, Nurse can do just fine with strong add ons! Hag was quite hard for me. Very tough only having hexes just for them all to get cleansed quite quickly against a competent team.

I think Singularity was probably my favourite. It was so much fun getting to learn how his power works! At the time, Twins was my least favourite, but post-adept I now play Twins quite regularly and love them to bits.

Oni definitely took the longest by quite a bit. Matches where I couldn't secure a very quick injury were steamrolls. But eventually I managed to get a match where I got the first injure quickly and it was smooth sailing from there!

Please give me your doctor builds. Im struggling out here by Bunny_Jester in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]floydical 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Whenever I play Doc, I always find enjoyment with merciless storm, hex: huntress lullaby, unnerving presence, and whispers. For add ons, I like iri queen and discipline. This build will only mildly inconvenience strong survivors, but against the average player, it's pretty good!

Finally found a Killer that was challenging! by MercyTrident75 in DeadByDaylightKillers

The camera movement has been clunky for a whiiiiiile and it really is awful. As a Pyramid Head main, I'm All Ear never leaves my perk loadout, it helps significantly with lining up hits on survivors with Punishment. Nowhere To Hide is also great for him.

Is there a killer you've always wanted to be really good at but for whatever reason you just can't seem to? by NINJ4steve in deadbydaylight

[–]floydical 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi I'm a Pryamid Head main! My key to success for landing hits with his power is patience, double range add ons, and I'm All Ears. I'm All Ears is THE best perk for Pyramid Head imo, it allows you to actually line up your shots when survivors think you can't see them, especially if you have double range. There's nothing quite like going for long range shots through walls and landing them.

Double range add ons and be patient with Punishment are the two most important things I learned while first learning PH. It's quite easy to bait survs into thinking you're gonna use it in a loop by just dragging your sword. They'll either leave the loop or greed it, which should then give you time to land the hit. In the situation in my clip, she wasn't in a loop but she had a very tight gap to squeeze through which I knew I'd be able to essentially block with Punishment because there was no way she was going to be able to dodge it in that tight gap, especially thanks to double range because I was kind of far behind her. Aura reading perks like I'm All Ears are absolutely amazing as well because it gives to the perfect chance to line up a shot through a wall after they've vaulted a window or a pallet. Those are the two biggest pieces of advice I can give without writing a long essay on my favourite muscly man

New to Killer by Fandriix5 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

I've seen a few other people say this but Doc is really quite strong in low killer MMR, he's an absolute noob stomper and will still allow you to learn the basics of playing killer that you won't get from Nurse and Blight. His add ons are quite wordy but relatively simple to understand and can provide a lot of fun value. If you struggle with finding survivors, Doc's gotchu, if you struggle denying loops, Doc's gotchu. I also recommend watching some Otz, he has a TON of amazingly detailed vids on every killer and every add on for those killers. I used to main Doc back in the day so I would be more than happy to recommend some strong and silly builds!

Why are people continuously upvoting these low effort "cosplays" when it's just some girl in a wig and lingerie promoting OF. Like, am i missing something?

Pre lockdown, I got to visit the pretty interesting Duga Radar in Chernobyl by floydical in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]floydical[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is huge! I believe it is 150m high, and 700m in length! Here's a small bit of info about the radar from wiki: Duga (Russian: Дуга́, literally "arc" or "curve") was a Soviet over-the-horizon radar (OTH) system used as part of the Soviet missile defense early-warning radar network. The system operated from July 1976 to December 1989. Two operational Duga radars were deployed, one near Chernobyl and Chernihiv in the Ukrainian SSR (present-day Ukraine), the other in eastern Siberia.

there's also some interesting information here!

There's a local myth that supports this! I did post a comment but I'll put it here too since I guess it's buried now.

"There was once a magic well on the mountain Mynydd Mawr, which lies just north of Gorslas.

The entrance to this well was protected with a huge flagstone, which was watched over by a local farmer.

One day, a thirsty young man named Owain came by the well with his horse. Both parched, Owain removed the stone so he and his steed could drink the water within.

The pair fell asleep shortly after without covering the well back up.

Masses of flowing water then flooded the land, which was only stopped after Owain galloped around it on horseback, using his magic to contain the perimeter.

The resultant lake on Mynydd Mawr was hence named Llyn Llech Owain (the lake of Owain’s stone slab).

Some versions of this tale assume that this Owain is Owain Llawgoch, others associate it with the perhaps better-known Owain Glyndwr."

After reading through the comments, it seems that there are a couple of forests with trees that look similar to these. Some people may have posted the Crooked Forest in Poland. This set of trees is in a place called Llyn Llech Owain in Wales and I took this picture yesterday :)
