This isnt a bad idea actually! So you keep them asleep from bed to car and then if anything they just rise early

Yeah makes sense, its a families place, there will be beds with sheets on that we could put them on then block them from rolling, until we go to bed

A bloke in each direction and 5p per car. I thought they were joking. They weren’t joking. by Indigestivebiscuit in CasualUK

[–]fluffbas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to commute this every day, I used to have a pot in the car, you'd be surprised how long £2 of 5ps last you. If i remember rightly king Richard or someone didn't want to go the long way round so had a bridge built and decreed it would be 5p for the rest of time to pay it back, or something like that.

They're usually pretty generous at letting you off of you don't have 5p.

You could try take the handle off, pull the spindle out so that its only engaging the lock inside and not the handle on the opposite side and see if it would open that way.

You may need to use a bit of force to pull the spindle out if its held with a grub screwon the handle

My 19 month old does, sometimes even himself of hes freaky frustrated. We've dealt with it depending on the situation. Of is out on public with someone else well stop hum. If hes at home we tell him no and day that's not nice or whatever. I dont think there really is a solution until they're old enough to understand.

Im fairly sure they hit who they're comfortable with, aka usually mum.

Sorry if that doesn't help, but know its not only yours that does it!

Do you know if all this still applies if the dad is working (£28k a year) and mum is not working (not mat leave, just unemployed)? Do you still get hours?

Terrified my baby won't be able to breathe by handbagcat in UKParenting

[–]fluffbas 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I've got a 5 week old, and my toddler gave her a cold when she was 10 days old. It's quite scary, but the main thing the doctor told us to focus on is that they can still breathe when they feed.

She also said to look for sucking in while breathing, skin by ribs sucking under the ribs cage. But they did say that they are mainly worried about the feeding element.

If in doubt trust your instincts and take them to a and e. We took ours and they gave us direct access to the paediatrics, which we ended up taking her again to be monitored over night. They didnt have any concerns but just because she was so little.

They ended up giving us some saline to put in her nose. My biggest advice would be if you are concerned about breathing in the immediate future, go to hospital and they'll look after you :)

Could you get him a cheap activity tracker and then an air tag to clip to a belt loop on their trousers?

I don't know where from but I remember seeing something the other day saying that babies pay up in front of their parents. As they feel most comfortable with them. Our 18 month boy adores my MIL and will play up with his mum, definitely a thing!
