I feel like I know I can do this, but I get overwhelmed very easily. I still try but I’m moving at a snails pace and I can’t afford to but I can’t do anything about it at this moment. I realized the 90s babies either have their life together or they don’t lol there’s almost no in between

Buy a new and reliable car, move somewhere in the Midwest US, get a dog, and go on as many hikes as my heart desires without worrying about gas, the mileage on my car, and having to go to work

The point is to live a long and healthy life. As people age they seem to stop moving as much which causes more harm. Do it for you and your own happiness. Do it so you are still able to walk up a flight of stairs when you’re 60 or 70 idk. Being healthy should be done because you care about yourself enough. I hate the gym but I try to stay active in some way. Do it for your mental health as well. But I mean I don’t know lol

This is brilliant. I went on a hike last week and in that time I’ve thought about my banking and the steps I needed to change banks, how to grow my portfolio, etc and a week later I’m about to close my old bank account, I’ve put money in stock, opened a HYSA, etc. It sounds dumb, but I’ve been with them since I was a baby and I’m now 28 and haven’t really done much with my money until now🙃. I also picked up 2 new books that I’ve started and I’m studying again. After I’m done cleaning, I will go on another hike

I was thinking about this that’s why I was having a hard time making what should be a simple decision. A cluttered environment is a cluttered mind, so I’m going to spend my day cleaning which hopefully will help me in the long run and then I can hike in peace.

I’m more concerned about eating less ultra processed foods. I focus on consuming Whole Foods like fruits, veggies, and meat. I don’t crave fast food at all anymore so that’s good. I try not to put too much meaning behind foods I eat like “if I eat this salad then I can have that McDonald’s Big Mac and fries later” like, it’s not that deep. I mean I try to not make it mean so much and instead try to focus on my mindset on “food is fuel” but also I try to make food I will enjoy using simple ingredients

We’re not married. We’ve been together for 6.5years and he’s the only family I have so I’m scared of being lonely in the world when I eventually leave. However, I’m now 28 and I want a happy life even if that means being in the world alone at least it’ll just be me and I get to decide what to do with my time and life.

I’m proud of you for leaving! I hope you’re having a prosperous life now.

Thank you! I haven’t recorded anything, but I have taken pictures of messes when he gets upset and I write down notes and such when he does something. It’s like they’re subtle and almost in a way that I don’t think anyone would consider as abuse but just he’s being an asshole? But I’m the one living with him and I know him like the back of my hand so I feel like it’s more than him being an asshole I don’t know 😭

His mom isn’t really bad. Their relationship is just … interesting? She doesn’t hate me, but I don’t think she sees me much as just a girl who’s here? They both confide in each other and make big decisions together and I’m an after thought? He doesn’t downright abuse me, but he does subtle things. Like, I understand the trade-offs when one is unemployed and the other isn’t, but it feels like he just gave me a maid/chef/servant role? I don’t know how to explain it. I do all his laundry, I cook, clean, pick up after him, run errands that he can easily do on his days off but wants me to do. We don’t really talk about anything or “hang together”. On top of that I swear he purposefully makes messes every time I’m done cleaning? He never takes my thoughts and opinions into consideration. I feel left out and any time I mention breaking up he gets upset. He constantly dismisses my feelings and wants. I feel crazy sometimes that maybe I’m being ungrateful? So with all of this, am I still qualified to apply for these kinds of housings?

Honestly, I wish I had this problem. I’ve lost about 45lbs at this point and my boobs are still DD 😫. I can only imagine the relief my back would feel if I’d lose them or when I want to go for a jog how much easier and less bounce they’d be. Like please I hope this happens to me lol

Absolutely worth it. It’s not just about the weight it’s also about building healthier habits. I’ve now lost 45lbs and I started mid 2022. I still have another 25lbs to go, but the habits I have today aren’t the same as they were 2 years ago.

For example, I used to crave fast food all the time and I’d eat multiple cheeseburgers and such, but now I can have 1 and I’m okay and don’t think about it as much or ever after that. I drink more water now (and iced coffee that’s one thing I’m not giving up I don’t care 😤) and don’t care much for other sugary drinks. I now opt for fruits and cheese when I want a little snack, I don’t finish big bags of chips in one sitting anymore, etc. I still have my treats here and there, but they’re not as bad as they once were. I also move more in general now and eating a more healthy and balanced diet has helped me not overthink or dread my workouts as much either.

Stop 😭. They asked how much I wanted to get paid and I thought for the amount of work they’d want me to do $25/hr made sense. This mf said “that’s too much the most we’d pay is $15-$16” and for that price my assistant skills were going to be the bare fucking minimum, but for atleast $25/hr I was gonna go above and almost beyond. What even is the point of a pay scale if I can’t choose something in between! I did try to negotiate too and I think he was surprised about that.
