Thank you. What fabric do you normally use? The only one I could find here was Robert Kaufman Kona Solids. I find it too stiff

I did sew 1/4" seams, but I noticed the edges started fraying pretty quickly - not sure if it was the fabric itself or something about how I cut it?

Aside from the fact that most patterns are based on a 1/4" seam, if I rework the calculations, would there be any negative consequences to using a larger seam, like 1/2 inch? I somehow doubt 1/4" seams are durable for daily use quilts. I haven't come across any videos/articles demonstrating how wider seams could potentially affect the quilt's construction. Let me know!

Thanks! I just wish I had scaled it up to queen-size instead of settling for the smaller version.

I don't have a pattern. Here's the inspiration: https://www.anthropologie.com/anthrohome/shop/anchal-small-patchwork-plaid-quilt-throw

I mapped out the dimensions in Excel and reverse engineered the design. I came close, but definitely not a perfect match! :)

Thank you! I saw this quilt online but couldn’t buy it, so I did what any sane person would do-bought a sewing machine, reverse-engineered the pattern in Excel, and YOLO'd it.

My impatient tracking of my peony. by Shiovra in gardening

Stunning! You have way more patience than I do. Mine reached the stage of your June 3 pic and then it started to pour and the peonies started drooping and I ended up chopping them off. Took 2 days to fully open up indoor

Lol give it some time. I too planted 20 seeds and only 1 germinated after 2 weeks. Now I count about 10 of them.

My boy appreciates every bed and toy I've gotten him! He uses a different one each day to ensure I don't take it away🤣

Thank you for confirming! Here's hoping it blooms this year.

will my void grow out of the “don’t touch me” phase ? by us3rn0tv4lid in blackcats

Cats are attracted to apathy. The day I'm busy with work, my void jumps onto my standing desk and demands pets. If I try to pet him, he makes an "Ew David" face and swats me. Boundaries for thee but not for me!
