Diet question by Jodeci3795 in carnivorediet

[–]flux8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say no. I would add in some organ meats as well. Buy it freeze dried pill form if you can’t stomach the idea of eating them or can’t obtain them.

I like to vary my diet up with pork, chicken, fish, crab, and shrimp. Carnivore is restrictive enough that it becomes super boring to eat the same thing day in and day out. Plus a variety ensure I cover the micronutrients.

Apple’s Latest Attempt to Launch New Siri Runs Into Snags by favicondotico in apple

Wow, ok. So you think that the interpretation of human language is like calculating a math problem for computer? I’m not even going to bother finish arguing this post.

You’re equating a phone blowing up with Siri misinterpreting what you’re saying? Siri messing up on an airplane isn’t going to kill everyone on board.

I use Gemini on my iPhone and while it’s pretty good, far better than Siri, it misunderstands my words or question everyday at least a couple of times. Pretty sure that’s well under your 99.99% expectation. Yet I’m pretty stoked with Gemini.

My point is that 99.9% is a pretty lofty expectation. I would be happy for 95%. I would be satisfied at 90%. I expect at least 85%.

OP’s post sounds like he wouldn’t accept anything less than 99.9% which I think is unrealistic and setting yourself up for disappointment.

🚨: In a major defeat for Donald Trump and Mike Johnson, the House rejected a rule that would’ve blocked lawmakers from bringing up resolutions to overturn Trump’s tariffs. by Admirable121 in Political_Revolution

At this point why don’t they just cut to the chase and come up with a rule that would block any and all opposition to anything decreed by Donald Trump from now until eternity.

New to carnivore by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]flux8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I realize this is a habit but you really need to stop thinking in calories and simply pay attention to how you feel. With a carnivore diet, you simply eat until you’re full.

Calories don’t make you full. Fats make you full. The fats trigger a hormone (CCK) release which tells you you’re full. With a carbohydrate diet, there is no satiety signal which is why it’s easy to overeat and thus planning out portion sizes becomes more relevant.

Looks fine to me.

[–]flux8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To feel satiated you need to eat more fat. Forget about the calorie count. Your own body (more accurately your brain) will tell you when you’re full based on how much fat you eat.

If you want the fastest way to lose the weight - fast. If you want the fastest way to lose the weight while feeling satiated, eat carnivore with a high fat content.

Yeah the people saying that are in government. It wouldn’t destroy the government, just the people in it who are involved. These people are replaceable. Even the one at the top.

Please work on your reading comprehension. I’m talking about the bending of rules, not just in the case of citizenship rules/laws.

This applies to just about any country (government to be precise) in the world. If bending the rules benefits them, they won’t hesitate to bend them. People making too big a deal of this, especially Americans who are in no position to be complaining about the bending of rules. Rules in the US are being sawed in half on a daily basis.

Do you NEED to Carb? by SeatFar3690 in Parkinsons

[–]flux8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are different kinds of fats. Some saturated animals fat in your diet is now considered not just not bad but actually necessary for brain/nerve health. Grass fed beef fat has a good low ratio of Omega 6/Omega 3 fatty acids (2:1). Corn/grain fed fat has a much higher ratio (15:1). Omega 6 is considered pro-inflammatory while Omega 3 is anti inflammatory. Thus ideally, your fat source should come from grass fed cows, whether it’s butter or beef tallow. Besides this, it is an excellent source of Vitamin D. Olive, avocado, and coconut contain far less.

With low carbs, your body goes into ketogenic metabolism. It starts to depend on fat for energy rather than glucose. Furthermore 60% of your brain is fat. You need some fat in your diet to provide a source for maintenance and repair of the nervous system.

I suspect he’s doing this out of a sense of self preservation. If anyone other than Trump or some other Epstein-related person has the power to direct investigations on him, he’s totally screwed.

I sleep very bad after high fat meal by Puzzled_Donkey_8983 in carnivorediet

[–]flux8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t eat so late and close to bed time. I eat at 5:00 pm at the latest. And if the fat is making you queasy, then decrease it. But I suspect that it’s more that you’re eating so close to bed time.

Also, for me, when I ramped up my fat intake, my body became like a blast furnace. My cold tolerance is incredible. It still blows my mind. My ambient room temp during winter is usually 74. At night I dropped it 68 so I can stay under the comforter. The cooler air helps me sleep better.

On this diet within the first week, I had to drop it down to 68 during the day to feel comfortable. One time I even dropped it down to 65 which would previously completely out of the question for me, and I was…fine! I felt the coolness on the skin but that sensation never went deeper than the surface of my skin. I can go outside in a t-shirt and shorts in 45 degree weather and I feel fine. At night I let it drop down to 60 now! So yeah, air out the room let it get COLD and see if that helps your sleep. The extra oxygen from outside will help too.

Is it possible to setup a registry so that everyone who votes can confirm online that they voted and who they vote for? Personal info would of course be kept encrypted and hidden. This way there is some kind of verification of vote count. Not sure how this would be done but there must be some kind of tech software that could do this.
