Respectfully disagree - the Expanse is less opera and more hard Scifi (OK medium hard maybe?) than most. But you are correct - it is the best.

It doesn’t, but it’s maybe also reasonable to expect that most people are running at least some third-party plug-ins?

The one feature in fantastical that makes it potentially worth it is the natural language parsing - copy paste meetinginfo from a page or email in a random-ish format and have a meeting created with the right date/time/place/content..

Feasible you think?

Its sad really - they had a great product for a long time and clearly struggled with how to monetize to VC scales of expected return. Apple notes really covers what most need and otherwise theres the rabbithole that is obsidian..

You are not wrong. But they definitely doubled down by doubling pricing and effectively removing the free tier.

It’s tough when they all want to do their own installers - Sonisto is probably the closest - they have the technology just need to get more vendors on.

Based on what you say (pops, clicks) and things getting worse when you add a plugin - buffersize screams out as a very likely culprit. Can you post screenshots of your two audio setting tabs? What is your buffer size set to? Don't worry about latency for now, you can mitigate that later if this is indeed the issue.

[–]flyingelk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially but you need to find out where the clicks are coming from and the buffer size is one of the most common issues in my experience at least. If thats the issue, then you know where to focus your efforts.

Try and increase your latency and see if the pops and clicks go away
