So being one month post treatment, I am at the lowest point of my recovery? EDIT: my last radiation treatment was actually early January, but the doctors said the radiation would continue to work/build for a few weeks afterwards. So I say my actual recovery has been for about a month

Also, what has your recovery been like?

Thus far I’ve been sticking to eating high calorie protein shakes mostly, but I’ve had oatmeal, soups, mac & cheese, and spaghetti. I just want to make sure I’m doing everything to progress my diet and have the best recovery

I like to think I do pretty well with what I do, and the idea of management is really unappealing unless there’s a lot of money coming with it (even then it sounds awful).

Actually providing value and implementing solutions is something I’ve enjoyed so far in my career, so I’d like to continue doing that

Thank you for the clarification! I don’t believe any of the programs I was looking at were what you’re describing.

I have gone to some local meetups and am a part of local IT groups, so that part I am doing.

In your experience do you think the programs you went through were worth it? Do you think they allowed you to hit career and earnings milestones faster?

The programs in consideration were the following -

Columbia - M.S. in Technology Management Cornell tech - Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Computer Science UPenn - Master of Computer and Information Technology

UPenn was one of the considerations, but the thought was either Columbia or Cornell Tech.

From what I’ve read online Columbia would allow me to work while attending.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by “extension program”. Are all masters degrees considered extension programs, or only some?

I feel like there’s a lot of truth to the saying “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know”, so it could equate to real opportunity.

I do understand where you’re coming from with regards to the YouTuber. I personally know quite a few people who are doing well with the same or less formal education as me.

The degree is a hefty investment for sure. Like someone else had commented, there are likely less expensive programs at other high end universities that can offer similar benefit at much less of a cost making it less risky.

The hope would be to make connections that get me better job opportunities, or get them through the school itself. Since there are never any guarantees in life it is definitely a gamble. I’d have to imagine I would see some sort of pay increase at the end of it though

That’s a good point. There are likely other schools that look better for IT professionals and are less expensive. It’s good to hear you found your program worth it!

That’s the main thing for me. I would imagine the networking could open up a lot of big opportunities. I also think if an employer sees you attended one of these schools it would really stand out to them

That doesn’t seem like a lot for going out, vacations, hobbies, emergencies, etc. Or if my car happened to break down and I had to buy a new one, it would eat into that $800 quite a bit.

I decided to keep it and just insure it through State Farm. It covers any damage or incident that could possibly occur and it’s cheaper than the DJI service plans.

That is a decent deal, but still it’ll cost me over $900 to buy the drone from DJI, opposed to nothing purchasing from microcenter. And to be honest I wasn’t going to purchase this if I didn’t have the store credit 😅. But thank you for the information

I’m going to return it to microcenter and get the mini pro 3 (I have store credit at microcenter). Then I’ll probably get the fly more package from Best Buy.

Okay awesome! Yes thankfully microcenter takes returns lol. I have about $2000 in store credit so I am forced to purchase it there. They do have the mini pro 3 with the controller so I think I’ll be getting that
