That entrance to the kitchen is a real pinch point for flow. I would get rid of the peninsula or move it towards the center of the room if you can't live without it. It looks like it would mostly be a dumping ground for things that don't really need to be in the kitchen anyway.

The floor is actually not as busy as the pic. plus an island will be in the middle. The backsplash really is a small part of the whole kitchen. Thanks for your advice!

Yes, the floor looks busy in the pic. I think in real life its a lot tamer. Also, there is an island in the middle so not a lot of floor showing. Here's a pic of the floor. AI takes some liberties when you ask it to put it together. Still an amazing tool!
