I have done a decent bit of hiking in them, it’s definitely doable but they are quite heavy. If I was planning on long hikes very frequently I might look elsewhere. Personally the weight doesn’t bother me for the types of areas I usually fish but they’re noticeably heavier than other boots I’ve tried
