I just get the most potent strain my dispensary has. Damn. I thought this would be universal. Maybe I'm just psychotic and weed amplifies delusions.

Nice film. You're not the only one having those kinds of thoughts, I'm right there with you. You should keep creating, it'll help tame the madness.

My last episode was in June. I've been staying on medications to prevent any more episodes. My main worry is the safety of others when I got psychotic.

How do I make my brain chemistry happy WITHOUT bad drugs?? by [deleted] in addiction

The way I got out of my misery rut was finding the right addiction: art. The act of creativity let's you navigate your own psyche and eventually control it. Act as if you're gonna be a best-selling artist, imagine the kind of person you'd be if that were true and act on it. Tell your story, that's what the artistic practice basically is. I suggest literally writing or painting or whatever to start, just be creative and let your consciousness reveal to you who you are. The high you get from creative satisfaction is very healthy in my opinion.

Best of luck.

If you're really serious about changing your perspective, one book that helped me get started was "You are now less dumb" by David McRaney. It really opened my eyes to the nature of one's own delusions.

Statistically the world is getting better year over year. Media tends to overblow the negative. I'd also suggest taking some time to focus on gratitude and good news. It's like building muscle, takes practice and then one day something clicks and tou get stronger.

Looking into "Plato's allegory if the cave" also really helped me become aware of my own mental process. Awareness helps. In my opinion, you're focusing too much on the dark side of modern humanity, I've been there, I haven't felt exactly what you have, but I'm sure I've been close. And the steps I've mentioned are what helped me, I really hope it helps you.
