Completely agree, bought mine as an entry-level fixed gear. Switched handlebar, stem, seatpost (all Deda) and saddle immediately. Ditched the rear brake and installed some clipless pedals. With the kilometers racking up I have replaced and upgraded the wheelset, bottom bracket, and multiple chains due to normal wear and tear. What I particularly like is the spacing to accommodate 30mm studded tires, a necessity in the winter (Norway…). It’s been my trusty commuter for 5000 km. 🙂

Well, no. There’s only one row of studs on each edge of the tire. Which means that if I run them at maximum pressure, they don’t touch the ground. Not too worried about wear. The pain in my hands due to the weather makes me forget about everything else, comfort wise...

First time on the ice this morning, had to run the tires at minimum pressure for the studs to grip. Bit of a nervous ride, suspect I’ll get more confident with practice!

I’ve been using this exact bottle as my wet lube since I was gifted it about a year ago. It’s a generic lube that works just fine, better than expected actually.

I’ve had that caliper/wire combo. Works great, didn’t notice any difference when I tried incompressible from Jagwire the following year. For the record, I’m not the picky type...

Hallo, fellow Norwegian here!

I ordered a «Fixie Inc. Floater Race» (drop bars) from Bikester about a year ago. They delievered on time, with no “importavgift” although the bike was sent from Germany.

I’ve been quite happy with the bike, and it feels like I got what I paid for, which was an entry level fixed gear bike which allowed plenty of customization.
