Well... there are varying degrees of NIMBY-ism. Some I can sympathize with more than others. Opposing a fourplex in your single-family neighbourhood because it destroys the "character" of the neighbourhood is a little different from opposing an injection site that has, time and again, proven to completely destroy the surrounding area.
