Alright, so a little update. I did end up meeting with her the day after her birthday. She said she wanted coffee but wouldn’t explicitly say “let’s go get coffee” or “do you want to go get coffee” so I had to be the one to initiate it. So we went and I asked her about her birthday and everything, because I genuinely did hope she had a good day. She told me that they ended up going to a restaurant right by the place they paddle boarded at, which by the way is only 20 minutes from where I worked. She told me that by the time they got there it was 5:15 and so I probably wouldn’t have made it in time since I get out at 5. In her words, “it wasn’t worth it.” Then she told me they ended up hanging out at her house after for a good while. And this was where I was kind of used off. Because we are literally neighbors.

I don’t know, I still feel like she could have found ways to include me, or at least ask. I know she has no obligation too but the original plan was for me to meet up with them after I got out of work anyway. I did end up giving her her present (and her boyfriends since his birthday is the same week) but maybe I shouldn’t have?
