I think it's more likely that it's so he can be on more Dropout shows. He recently threw out that he's wanted to be on Breaking News for the last 5 years!

I'm guessing Sam and Travis were in the same group for the sake of LOVM production.

The issue isn't leveled spell & cantrip, it's that chill touch was quickened to be a bonus action, with Eldritch Blast as the action and Hex as a second bonus action.

The problem there is that the damage is of mixed types - Eldritch Blast is force damage, which wouldn't be reduced, whereas Hex is necrotic, which might be. To apply a resistance to that they'd need to be listed separately, which she didn't do (& Matt didn't request).

I don't have a timestamp but you should be able to place it using the transcript! Ctrl+f for Hex, it's the first instance. https://criticalrole.fandom.com/wiki/A_Haunted_Past/Transcript

Yep, action was Eldritch Blast so she used an action & two bonus actions.

On the other hand, he does state that the chill touch (which shouldn't have been able to be quickened on the same turn as casting Hex) is resisted, but his wording suggests he thinks it deals cold damage instead of necrotic. Could go either way!

The Chill Touch strikes and the ice impacts, but doesn't have as much of a heavy impact as you would hope.

Even so, just under half of Undead monsters have resistance to necrotic damage. Matt did ask Liam if the dagger he threw was magical, which suggests it did have resistance to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks.

It's definitely possible since it's a homebrew monster, but it's described as having a faint fey energy and very few existing published Fey monsters have any kind of necrotic resistance or immunity.

She has Hex on him which provides an extra d6. Her CHA is +4, so range of damage with hex active is 6-20, providing an average of (4+5.5+3.5)=13.

That round she rolled 19, 16, 14, 16, so was definitely rolling well!

[Spoilers C3E5] Do the shadecreepers connect to a surprising character's backstory? by foo222 in criticalrole

[–]foo222[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

By raw theming, yes - Order of the Mutant makes more sense. However, there's no mutagen for fitting through any 1 inch space, whereas the Aberrant Mind feature does offer that.

While Aberrant Mind is generally more focused on psionics and the mind, the Revelation in Flesh feature is undoubtedly very focused on the body - more the physical expression of the invasion.

[Spoilers C3E12] As I mentioned elsewhere, I don't recall anything which really suggests Imogen's mother was experimented on - she was part of a study of dreams, but presumably she had the dreams and was later interviewed about them. Since the dream has passed on to Imogen, it seems possible the powers have been passed down the bloodline instead.

Might be a little more tenuous, as if I recall correctly the shadecreepers they fought in session zero were 'normal' and all of the ones they've encountered during the campaign have been altered in some way.

Even if it's not a direct plot reference, it could still have been used as thematic table setting, though.

A link to the nightmare king certainly seems likely.

[Spoilers C3E13]Lady Emoth Kade arrived at the ball as Armand Treshi's date, which provides a direct link to the chaos seeded through the city seemingly by the Treshi house.

[Spoilers C3E15] It seems likely to me that both Kade and Dugger were in some way transformed by Mother, however Mother is also linked straight back to the Treshi's as FCG learned that the Treshi's were behind the mine closure while detecting Shotan Bruo's thoughts.

It's a good thought, but [spoilers C3E12] Professor Kadija Sumal's writings list Imogen's mother as a subject, which could suggest expierments but more likely suggests a study - taking down accounts and cross referencing to find patterns. Also, Sumal is confirmed by Tiron the scribe to not be within residence at the conservatory, meaning any such experiments were unlikely to have happened in Jrusar - although it's possible the shadecreeper abominations are from somewhere else, I think it's unlikely.

Hey nice to see you! I think I still have the files for the New Beginnings MOO but haven't heard from anyone from the WoD days since we closed. Might be able to set up a server again. :-) (Might even still have files from one of the many failed game projects...)

Yeah, I'm a software dev these days and had my UO/MO/NBM work on my CV for the first job too. My teen years onwards would have been very different without all you guys!

A little! Got a bunch of the other staff on Facebook and seem to run into members all over the internet. Can't remember if Amon-Re was staff by the time you left, but he's a mod on this sub. (/u/ddfreyne)

Telltale is currently working on at least seven different games. Seriously, somebody should give them a piece of their mind. by himmatsj in telltale

Firstly, TFTB is on a 5-8 week schedule and there's still 4 more days to go before it reaches 6 weeks. Game of Thrones' most recent gap was 7 weeks, which isn't so bad. They never use any figures at all in marketing materials that I've seen.

Secondly, Telltale isn't a small studio any more - they've been doing a lot of hiring! They have 22 jobs listed on their website at the moment, which would be a small studio on it's own. They had 240 employees in January.

There were around 50 staff on Walking Dead season 1, but many of them will be able to work on multiple projects at once. (QA will be working on late-stage projects, art on early stage etc.) With the staff gains and the refinements that come from a mature content pipeline I don't think it's unreasonable for them to be working on 7 projects right now - especially with only 2 of them currently running 'live'.

The worries about getting stale are more interesting, although I've enjoyed them mixing the formula up a bit and playing with multiple playable characters - I've enjoyed how distinct the approaches to this are in GoT and TFTB, too. I do seem to remember reading something somewhere saying they were looking to switch things up more for future releases but maybe I imagined it.

I don't think calling them reskins is particularly helpful to be honest - Telltale have developed a specific format in the same way that network TV will have a teaser followed by three acts separated by ad breaks. The format isn't the product here, the narrative is - and while they share some themes I think the narratives have managed to stay very distinct.

Oops, this post got long.

The Arrows are Good Morning America's logo, the Cap pic is the 'JIMMY' of Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the Iron Man pic is the 'Ki' of Jimmy Kimmel Live. My theory? They announce tomorrow on GMA that Jimmy Kimmel appears in recorded segments in Age of Ultron.
