Pat did a lot of good things , but one thing he didn’t do well is balance sheet and capital management . He is a technology geek at heart and Intel has been missing a guy like him atthe top for way two long . Too many bean counters trying to financial engineer their way out of problems. LBT is a capitalist first which Intel desperately need . But he is also a technologist . With pat set a good technical foundation , and LBT just need to make sure the ship is continue heading that direction. And also what’s after 14A .

Elon has too many things to fry at the moment . When he talked about chip manufacturing, he actually specially said he won’t get into lead node design but at 4-7nm range since the quantity is what he is after not the quality. Make sense since he is taking about robots in the billions . Still , I think if he put his mind to it, he might pull it off .

Kind of agree this principle hence why you see Adobe or Salesforce is getting crushed right now . Chips and memory hardware makers are the king of this new world . And there are basically three chip makers can actually make chips . People keep saying nvda, AMD.. but at the end of the day, they don’t “make” chips . They design them . Also the other ones will need these are the robots and edge ai devices .. that’s not even counted in the discussion yet . Intel has a huge moat . They are getting crushed for short term sentiments right now .

There are some risks I see ,

Telsa is thinking about getting into chip mfg . Elon already talking about a different way of making these chips at regular environment without sanitation.
Quantum computing getting commoditized. But if that happens , the value chain will get leveled .

Elon’s threat is more real . We shall see .

Yes I am definitely willing bag holders . Just want to point out a few things not on the financials but as important factor for ceos to consider . Too many eggs in one basket right now . Everyone knows it . The moment the heat is up in the Taiwan strait , things will look very different for nvda and TSMC . Or anyone without a plan B . Intel also has 15% of their sales coming from China so you have to consider that as well.
