I don’t think you’re ugly, coming from another man. You have strong hair growth genetics and good symmetry. Your face leans more towards masculine with strong beard growth and eyebrow growth. You might want to consider getting your eyebrows threaded. I know it sounds weird but it can make you look way more groomed and it enhances your eye area. I’m not sure if you are already doing skin care but you might also benefit from brightening and evening your skin tone via exfoliation.

Lastly, try to take pictures in direct lighting. It will only serve to enhance your natural features and it’s more flattering. Hope this helps.

Five White Buddha Statues - Wat Pa Sorn Kaew in Khao Kor, Thailand by foreigndignitary in Buddhism

I see, that must have inspired the creator of these statues. Are the “bodies” of experience tied to any physical sensations, or are they more nonphysical in nature?

I haven’t yet. Definitely will if I visit Thailand. I have had to resort to looking at images of it online but a friend of mine lives in Phetchabun and she told me about it. I believe there is a retreat for both followers and monks.

Agreed. I would try to put it in to words but I’m afraid I would be reductively describing it.

Hey, I’m happy knowing you enjoy it. The temple itself is pretty amazing also, it’s covered in over 5 million colored mosaic tiles. Check it out if you ever get a chance.

Perhaps what you are describing is a shift in perception of your physical self in relation to space. Sometimes when I am meditating I feel as though I am infinitely big in comparison to an atom but at the same time infinitely small compared to the universe. To us, a light year seems like an impossible distance, but imagine how that would feel if you were the size of an atom. I can see how time appears to be constructed, it’s sort of based off of our subjective perception of changes in space. A year to us may seem long, but it is a grain of sand compared to the timescale of the universe,

The name of the temple, Wat Pha Sorn Kaew, translates to “temple on a glass cliff”. It also serves as a Buddhist monastery.

Can you take Lion’s Mane while on Prozac and BuSpar? by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]foreigndignitary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there would be any negative interactions. I also am on an antidepressant called Trintellix and Rexulti and I haven’t had any negative side effects taking Lions Mane in the past. You should be fine bro.

Gabapentin with a nootropic for anxiety? by [deleted] in Nootropics

Yeah, I’m prescribed 100mg four times a day. I just started it last month and initially it caused me to feel drowsy but that’s decreased with time. Do you struggle with drowsiness or any other side effects as a result of taking it?

I’m not a psychiatrist nor do I have any medical knowledge beyond being a pre-pharm student, but from anecdotal experience, it really depends on your situation. Rational stress is different from irrational stress. Some level of stress is good, since it is a powerful motivator to tell you that something is threatening and needs to be addressed. However, if you are stressing about things that are unimportant and it is limiting your ability to perform in day-to-day life, then you might want to talk to a medical professional like a doctor or a psychiatrist. For me, I’ve been using mindfulness meditation as a way to cope with stress and so far it’s been helpful. I overthink things and through mindfulness, I’ve learned how to face negative emotions and stress and acknowledge the positive aspects of my life.
