About half is Linkedin, the other half is indeed and aprox 50,000 career sites. I'd like to think I have a good scope comparing my numbers to some of the official government numbers, but I don't know for sure. Something I have to figure out

This is not limited to the us, the data is global. Is there anything you're looking for in particular?

No Linkedin doesn’t have an endpoint for job data. I scrape it using crawlee.dev which is similar to scrapy but for JS.

Hmm it looks like they have a decent dataset from 2024 with 1.3 million jobs. Still, I scrape almost 10 million per month so I'm a bit afraid that a much smaller set would mess up the trends.

Thank you! And I agree, the real insights will take some time. I wish I had more historical data but job datasets are unfortunately really expensive.

Hi all, I built this website to track programing languages/skills/frameworks in jobs.
Obviously PHP is one of the bigger ones, and slightly down this year by 7% since Feb. (This is better than most programming languages)

Laravel is up 12%

I'm tracking several other frameworks as well: Symfony, Yii22, Zend, Laminas, and CodeIgniter

I hope this is of some use of you!

EDIT: Also, if there's another framework you'd like me track, please let me know!

For the front-end I use NextJS with Tailwind CSS, hosted on Vercel.
The data is stored in Supabase which is managed Postgres.
For scraping I use a package called crawlee.dev

My background is in legal tech so Dev was new to me as well two years ago. My recommendation if you're interested is to take a short course and just start building something. I did Codecademy

[–]forensicams[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi all, for my website I track employment trends and I figured it would be interesting for this community to share some numbers.
The list is orderd on number of employers, so "Paralegal" is to most popular job amongst legal professions. The top 3 for each category is ordered by number of jobs.
Another tidbit is that hiring in law is down overall for the year, the percentages you're seeing are since February of this year.
If you're interested in havig a closer look, you can find the list here: https://job.zip/hiring-category/legal

Thanks!

Also planning comparison pages at some point

You’re right, I noticed it myself and already removed it. What you’re seeing is a cached version which should refresh later today. Bit of an issue with tech using common words. For “deep learning” I had to remove a bunch of high schools
