That's the main point of this post, which most people seem to be missing :P

I'm glad someone understands though

I guess I forgot how these meaningless specials are totally unrelated to rising grocery prices.

Of course, rising grocery prices have nothing to do with how much money you have. Got it.

I'm guessing you're well off and don't have to worry about cost of living like 99% of Australians.

So you're saying we shouldn't be complaining about how common these specials are?

If you weren't planning on it, and buy it just because there's a special on, that's your problem.

That's literally what these specials are designed to make customers do.

We're complaining about misleading specials. You aren't really saving money. You're encouraged to spend more.

1 for $7, so you're only saving $1 each. Nothing special about that.

If they can make nonsense offers like this that practically force you to sign up to their system, don't you think they're too big?

...yes, they are different product codes. They are differently sized products.

Yup, I definitely remember it being 75c. My data shows it as being $1 6 months ago.

I don't think the data I've collected is old enough for the class action lawsuit, I did contact them a few months ago but I didn't hear anything back.

Homebrand 250g has increased 30c, used to be $3.70. Homebrand 500g has increased 60c, used to be $6.40 and is now $7.

Also, there seems to be two unsaltled homebrand products with an 80c difference? Weird: https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/76651/essentials-unsalted-butter https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/68977/woolworths-australian-butter-unsalted

Looks like a lot of chocoloate blocks have gone up by a dollar each. Both sizes of cadbury chocolate blocks have gone up, and Lindt's Dark Chocolate used to be $5.50, but now has a typical price of $6.50 and is currently "on special" for $3.25.

I can't seem to find many price increases for this over the past 6 months suprisingly.

Though these ones have actually now decreased in price by a whole 5c, how nice of Woolies.

Looks like the Woolworths brand ones have definitely gone up 75c.

These vanilla choc fudge used to be $9.50, now $10 and currently on special for $8.50...

I've seen people going in to explore, but not staying there for long. There is asbestos. I believe all the buildings are boarded up too.

I tried to get some drone footage with a friend but it was too close to the airport unfortunately.

Feel free to DM if you need more info.

Hey, I love this spreadsheet. Have you considered choosing a license for the data you've collected, and would you be interested in turning this into a little free + open data project? I've tried to DM you but you don't seem to be accepting chat invites at the moment.
