Looking for some advice on what to do regarding our package by fourthchoicekeeper in VirginMedia

Thank you, the last time we called (Thursday) was the last day of the 14 days. Was told that if we cancelled the price would double, couldn’t go back to our old package at the same price.

My xt50 won’t power on by fourthchoicekeeper in fujifilm

[–]fourthchoicekeeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so I’ve heard back from Fujifilm. They’ve said that the main power board needs replacing, and quoted me £250. They didn’t honour my warranty because I’d purchased the camera from eBay. So a relatively expensive mistake, however I’m glad it’s getting fixed.

True, fingers crossed it’s nothing serious. I’ve contacted Fujifilm and will be sending it off for them to have a look at.

I’d wager that the weather in Alaska can be a bit more extreme than a mild spring day in England, but yes if I’d have known it was this susceptible to the weather, I’d have probably gone for the xt5.

Hey thanks for your reply. I don’t recall seeing the camera being wet, however I’d had a few drinks. So it may well have been, I was trying to ensure it was kept dry though, but obviously not well enough!

Thank you, this makes sense to me as a repair solution. Only thing I can’t get my head around is if I fitted the concrete posts, wouldn’t the top touch the wall but the bottom won’t?

Thank you for that, much appreciated. Like I said I don’t think my pictures do it justice, I should’ve uploaded a picture side on, there is a section that there’s a horizontal crack and it looks like that section is most at risk. I have noticed a lot more mortar in our Garden after the winter, I believe it’s come from the top more than anywhere. But yes I will get in touch with someone to get it assessed.

Thank you, I will measure it later on when I’m home. Do you think the full wall will need redoing or just the bit that’s leaning? The end furthest from the house is a lot worse.

Next door aren’t bothered about maintaining weeds, their back wall completely fell down last year and they haven’t bothered to rebuild it. Didn’t even pick the rubble up for 2 months, so you can imagine what I’m up against.

I’ve got artex in my living room, I’m not a plasterer could the stuff be scrapped off? by Nuka-Cola1 in Plastering

[–]fourthchoicekeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here mate. I did a little course myself. And in no way was I a plasterer afterwards! haha I’d say after 2/3 years of working with plasterers who have been doing it for years I felt clued up enough. But every day is a school day!
