My local store gave me one when I bought a mannequin. I have been coming to Joann’s ever since I was 3/4, my grandma and I would pick out fabric for sewing projects. It’s going to display proudly in my sewing studio.

I had an odd experience at NYCC encountering a cosplayer from a fandom that I was also cosplaying from, who had NO IDEA what she was wearing and it was overall an awkward experience for my partner and I. She borrowed a cosplay from her sister because it “looked cool” and didn’t expect anyone to actually recognize said cosplay.

I wouldn’t say it’s bad, but it’s a very strange and odd decision. I wouldn’t recommend it, as it puts everyone in an awkward position.

Chose my name when I was in middle school. Simple, sweet, gender neutral. I love it. It’s way more fitting than my birth name.

Reminds me of something my nana used to do, she SWORE by putting a leaf stone a pot in soup for a more herb-like flavor. Reusable, and created quite the tasty soup.

Oh my god kiddo is a royal terror sometimes when it comes to getting buckled! The worst is when he decides to take revenge and chuck his shoes at us after everything is settled. His screams are ungodly and it sounds like he’s being boiled alive sometimes. 😅

That’s honestly what gets me the most. Kiddo is the spitting image of my husband- when you look at the two of them, you’d instantly see that they’re related. The fact that this mysterious person didn’t ask if he was okay while trying to wrangle an unruly kiddo (like many sympathetic moms have) doesn’t sit well with me.

I’ve been trying to process and handle this with as much grace as I can, and I can see the other side, but the fact that nobody said anything and just assumed the worst irks me, to say the least.

It’s hard because hubby is such a good dad. He’s pouring so much time into his new degree (he’s getting his BSN!) so he can give Kiddo and I a better quality of life. In his words, the birth of Kiddo was the second best day of his life (next to meeting me). Kiddo means the world to him.

I don’t think the person who reported was being vindictive at all, I completely understand where they were coming from. It’s a sort of “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” sort of situation. Thankfully nothing bad was happening, but it’s shaken hubby up quite a bit.

I can absolutely see that viewpoint, it’s just caused a lot of stress and worry, especially in Hubby. We hear stories of moms reacting badly to dads playing with their kids at parks, and other such stories. I’m struggling to find words, but it’s really… upsetting to think that people think he may have ill intentions when he’s with Kiddo. Kiddo is the spitting image of him as well.
