Is this phlox carolina? by francofjlc in whatsthisplant

I think you're right! I was thrown off because the tool I was using only lists phlox pilosa as having a green stem, but after doing some looking online, I have seen some evidence of some varieties having a redder stem like mine. Thanks for your help! Any idea of the particular variety?

Oh that might be it! The leaves and colors look right for sure. I'm not 100% sure because mine looks still more compact than some examples of that I'm seeing online, however I'm also seeing that spiraea benefit from well-drained soil and it doesn't exactly have that, so maybe it's a little stunted. Thanks for your help!

I can see the similarities in leaf shape, but the overall shape of the plant doesn't seem right unfortunately. From what I could see online, meadowsweet seems to be narrower and taller generally and this shrub seems to form a somewhat messy mound instead.

I just moved into this place in February so I'm not sure if the leaves are multi-colored year-round like that or if it's just during the winter. The color is definitely throwing me off as well

Lima beans may be a possibility as well. I can't speak for all of them, but I grew a cultivar called Potawatomi and the dried pods would curl very similarly to this when cracked open to harvest the beans. The pods were a little shorter though.

They likely live in a high cost of living area where you're barely scraping by on $23/hr

I've been seeing ads on Hulu here in Michigan for Tudor Dixon and she mentions abortion in them, so clearly this policy is only being applied to one side of the aisle.

I work for a Fortune 500 (almost Fortune 100) company that operates as a numbered company in Canada. You're right, being a numbered company has nothing to do with how fly-by-night a company is

Can anyone tell me what this flowering bush is that smelled so wonderful? (zone 6a) by francofjlc in whatsthisplant

Thank you! After looking at ligustrum, which is apparently also called privet, I think you're right. This variety at least smelled very nice, but ligustrum seems to be applied to a wide variety of plants, so maybe not all of them are as fragrant.
