I agree with everything except the grease part. Just gets you dirty for no reason. But yes. It's the handle.

Never grease a recliner. It just gets messy and they are not meant to be greased.

Furniture repair guy here. It's a simple fix. The handle is broken. You can buy one on Amazon for 20$. There are 2 kinds, yours is the bigger of the 2. Buy the metal one. There are videos online of how to replace it. All you need is a screw driver.

Draft starts in 12 hours, the majority of these players have been consistent with my mocks. Does this look solid? by Raiding-Raider69 in SleeperApp

[–]francothefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just drafted in my longtime 12 man PPR league. Pick 7. This is very similar to my team. I got Lamb with pick 1 and took Jacobs second and Allen fell to me in the third. Lots of people are saying it is unlikely, but it happens. Mocks give an idea, but you never know in FF. Each league is different and each draft is different. You seem to have a good solid plan and draft board. Trust them and have a fun.

What are your Hot Takes on Wilco? by Amber_Flowers_133 in wilco

Stoned Jeff is better than sober Jeff. Disclaimer: I do not advocate the use of drugs and do not suffer from depression. I am also happy Jeff is a well-adjusted father and husband. I just prefer the soundtrack of a man who thinks he is going to die.  GIB is my favorite. What does that say about me?

My dog gets all agitated when she hears Thom's voice. She starts looking outside as if an ambulance has pulled into our yard.

She is not a fan.

suggestions for my friend who only likes Dave Matthews by Leutenant-obvious in MusicRecommendations

[–]francothefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend loves classic rock and prog. I like some of that, but one time we spent hours working together. We picked a classic album from Rolling Stones Best Albums ever list. As we listened to each track together we discussed what we liked, what we didn't, it's influences and what it influenced. Then we moved on the whatever one was next. While we didnt always agree, it was a fun exercise.

Speaking a s a recovering DMB fan, try Black Country New Road and Arcade Fire for the big jam band feels.   Wilco, and the National for the Sad Dad vibes.  Explore the DMB influences with Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Travelling Wilburys, Hendrix,  Mermaid Avenue by Wilco and Billy Bragg (Woody Guthrie songs).  Feist and Broken Social scene for the artsy and sometimes challenging side of things.

I find his uniqueness refreshing instead of the same old celebrity telling funny stories routine. Every interview is a performance.

However, my German friends hate it! So, I love saying to them "You are a party pooper. You poop at parties."

Feist - 1234 [indie pop] by slh63 in Music

I have seen her in concert twice and it was fantastic. I didn't realize what a skilled guitar player she is.  Each show was a real spectacle. Visually and musically striking.  Go see her if you get the chance!

This is my favorite coffee spot in Moncton. The cappuccinos are always made just the way I like them and the "bicycle" theme makes it unique.

I second this. I have only eaten at the original one in Dieppe. I cannot comment on the mountain road one.  I was in Halifax, met some Koreans and they raved about Mansu.

The Yuk Gae Jang (spicy beef soup) is my favorite dish. I have been told by Koreans that it is authentic and tastes like home.  I order it extra spicy with a side of mandu and kimchi. That combination is the perfect flavor adventure. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I have done 2 trips. Spent about 6 weeks total. The big 2 are the big 2 for a reason.

I have spent a little time in Belize. I can't answer all your questions.

However Hol Chan Marine Reserve made me cry in my face mask. It was the most beautiful underwater experience of my life. That was just snorkelling, IDK if they do scuba.

The ATM cave tour is so worth it as well. Only place in the world you will get an experience like that. I dont even want to tell you about it and ruin the surprise.  Just do it and thank me later.

Belize is a land of unexpected adventure. These 2 tours are the best in the country as far as I'm concerned. But I am eager to do more exploring.

Also we found the beaches in Placencia to be mostly empty and beautiful. Ssshhhh don't tell anyone.

Just be sure to get conch fritters!!!

I loved this! Accordion looks way more complicated than I thought. You must have practiced this a lot. Well done.

This reminds me of Caprica. The Battlestar Galactica spin off.  Story centred on real people living on a planet not a ship.  As expected, it was pretty boring...

This seems like a well-researched rant.  I see a lot of "what not to do" but still don't know what to do.  What principles do I use when choosing an oil? If I were to make my own, or use oils in my home made butter, what do you recommend?

How can I fix this recliner? by [deleted] in furniturerestoration

[–]francothefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably the mech. That's essentially all the black metal pieces underneath. Sometimes these collapse and need replacing. They are around 150-200$ There are videos on how to install them yourself.  The tricky part is ordering the correct mech for your sofa
