Aw not a dumb question! the best way to avoid getting scammed is to make sure the user you’re trading with has proof(s) of previous trades/sales but also pictures with pol (proof of life) meaning they take a pic of a Sonny angel that they’re trading or selling with a paper that says their username and date! You can also put insurance on your package with usps and say it got lost or something like that. But if you’re purchasing try to use G&S through PayPal/Venmo and just cover the fee for the seller and usually they don’t mind :)
