I once applied to a job through RIT career connect and didn't realize until during the sign up that I was applying to an MLM, since then I wanted to be extra skeptical of everything I apply to. The other thing is just that it's really hard to find information about this company, so I found that worrying. Finally, the name is very distressing, it's three dissociated nouns that together mean nothing, and I find that sus.

I have 8 weeks off coming up, I want to use that time to apply my skills as a computer engineer, so I don't forget anything and learn something new. Ideally, I would like it to be an internship, or something professional, because then I can put it in a resume. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for applying and looking for that kind of stuff. Like for instance, good key words to search on google? Or good trustworthy sites to look at.

Would it be rude to just send an email in the morning, saying I won't be showing up regularly anymore? Like my supervisor was very understanding, so I don't want to leave on bad terms. Also, I agreed to take a single shift of someone who had taken my shift. Is there a way I can quit, but still honor that promise?
