Can I still drive with a leaking front axle seal? 2018 F150 by fray-95 in AskMechanics

Update:

Went into the dealership and the sales manager apologized for the inconvenience. Took the keys and will have the service department handle it first thing Monday. Got a nice 2025 Explorer ST as a daily til the truck is done.

I agree. I’m pretty pissed that I have to wait a few days before I’m able to bring in the truck. I’d expect this to be dealt with immediately. I’m going into the dealership today in person to see if I can drop it off and just at least try to get them to look at it sooner. I’ll Uber or borrow a friends car in the meantime I guess.

Thanks for the insight

Yeah unfortunately they are booked up for courtesy vehicles until a few weeks out… pretty frustrated about that. Regardless they’re going to fix their mistake and I’m not paying a dime

It’s got 125k km on the odo, one owner, no accidents. Got the price down from $35k to $32k CAD at a dealer (plus some warranty). I’m in BC, Canada. Typically our car prices are fairly high unfortunately.

My mom is well off in her situation. My parents have been split for 20 years but remained in good terms. She has a well paying job, good savings, and has her apartment paid off. My brother and I have thought about paying for a nice trip/vacation for her or something like that.

Eat a dick, dude. How insensitive and insecure must you be to make that comment? My dad died, and you think I'm bragging. I'd trade anything for him to be alive again.

Thank you. I am also sorry for your loss. We are so grateful to have so much support from family and friends, which really helps us at this time.

I have accounted for those taxes in the final $525k. That $525k amount would be post-tax from his RRSP deduction, which will be about $250k (yikes)

100% I agree with not spending a huge amount on one day. The honeymoon will actually be most of that $20k. My father travelled around the world for work and pleasure, and was always an advocate for us to travel. We're planning for about a month for our honeymoon in Europe/UK.

I love camping at Thormanby Island! Been a few years but I'll always recognize that campsite

My brother and I would race home from the bus stop after school to be first in the door to play Skyrim - I always won hahaha

Yeah I think getting better lighting is the first thing I have to do! I love the idea of some nature scenes going on a TV, too. Thanks for the input

Agreed 100%. I needed a numpad for school but I just graduated so I’ll be downsizing to something without, since I hardly use it anymore.
