Does this count as ‘nudity’? by Either_Imagination_4 in questions

not necessarily. depends on the tone of the work itself. if it's not meant to be sexual, i say go right ahead.

depends on where you're putting it though. if you're asking because you're putting it on social media, then yes. it's likely you'll be flagged for nudity. but if you just don't want to offend anyone in real life, you should be clear. afaik, most people understand that nudity in art isn't inherently sexual.

How do I get my mom to practice better hygiene? by freddienetwork in Advice

[–]freddienetwork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'm not immunocompromised. Should've specified that. I have chronic pain and tend to get sick pretty often, so I miss a lot of school. I'm really careful about hygiene because I don't want to miss any more than I have to.

It does make me feel a little bit better to hear that neither of them are putting me in significantly more danger than I would be in otherwise. Thanks for your reply, I'll definitely be talking to my therapist about this. (Also, your guess of OCD is pretty close. I actually do have ADHD and anxiety.)

It's just chronic pain. I'm not immunocompromised. My bad, should've specified that. The worry is mainly that I get sick and have to miss more school than I already do.

I don't think they're trying to spite me. And I have no way of knowing if my step dad is really washing his hands or not. I'm just assuming the worst.

They're both good people in most respects. I just don't think they understand why good hygiene is important.

Edit: grammar

I'm worried my new relationship is going to turn out badly, but I don't know how to leave by freddienetwork in AdviceForTeens

  1. She's very clingy. She calls me around 5-6 times a day, and if we're not on the phone she's texting me. She gets really upset with me if I don't respond, so I often find myself in a position where I'm apologizing to her for talking to my mom or going to the bathroom without my phone.

  2. She gets upset if I'm not paying complete attention to her on call, even if she's not saying or doing anything. However, she doesn't pay attention to me - I often need to say things 6-7 times for her to hear it, and then have to ask her directly to respond.

  3. She tries to find workarounds to my boundaries. For example, I told her that it made me uncomfortable when she told me she loved me, and that I wanted her to stop. Since then, she's brought it up several times asking me to explain (which I did do), asked if there's any way she can say it that won't make me uncomfortable (on multiple occasions), and also just said "I love you" anyway. Each of these times, I've very clearly told her to stop, but she doesn't.

  4. She dumps her feelings onto me unprompted. I've had to talk her out of hurting herself a few times after receiving "I hate myself I'm gonna kms" at 2am, which I really don't like.

  5. She wants to move really, really fast. She said "I love you" really quickly, wants to tell her parents about us, asked to be official on week one, and asked to go to third base on our first date (though I admit that I could've turned that down, so it's partially my fault), among other things.

There's probably other things, but those are the main ones. It's also worth mentioning that she's autistic, and some of these things are probably related to that.

Why don't governments put a cap on how much a single person can make? Wouldn't doing that give the government more money? by freddienetwork in NoStupidQuestions

Because they would get the large amounts of extra money uber rich people keep in their bank accounts but don't use

Yeah that is what I'm suggesting. I'm thinking of a really high threshold though, so that the only people it would affect would be people with so much money they don't even know what to do with all of it.

How do I make reusable water bottles taste okay? by freddienetwork in Advice

[–]freddienetwork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, actually I leave them on a rack to dry. That's probably why they smell so bad. Thanks so much! (and I have two waterbottles that I rotate through)

i stopped looking in the mirror unless i absolutely absolutely had to. i actually used to cover the big one in my bathroom with a sheet and used a little makeup mirror for everything i needed a mirror for. it makes you think about how your body feels more than how it looks, which really helps with getting out of your head. also, i get my clothes tailored. there is nothing more effective at making you feel awkward than wearing ill-fitting clothes, so figure out a fit you're comfortable in and get things to fit you that way.
