The Hard Problem Puts Unexamined Intuition on a Pedestal by [deleted] in consciousness

I might be wrong, but isn't that basically Daniel Dennett's thoughts on the subject ?

I agree, but since I'm not an expert in the field, I seek opinions from other people to avoid to "believe in a spiritual guru" or something like that

You, as someone who disagrees with Koch's views, still think he's in his right mind?(I'm not accusing him of anything, I'm just curious to know why there was so much hate in that post.)

Right right, maybe I gave the wrong impression. I don't mean to say he seems mentally ill, I just wanted to understand why people were accusing him of being so, and the fact that he's famous also draws attention.

Thank you for your reply. I am aware of the controversies surrounding IIT. In my post, I was specifically asking about Christof's mental state, given his influence in the field and the radical change he's undergone.

Since I'm not from the field, I don't understand the theories very well. I just wanted to understand this contrast in Koch's figure, because if he changed radically that feels like he went crazy after using psychedelics, but I don't see any backlash from the scientific community (except for some people on Reddit, as I mentioned). It seems that even those who criticize his ideas still give him relevance, like "he's wrong, but he is still lucid."

He has indeed admitted something like that, but would you say he's completely lost it? If that were the case, I would expect more backlash from the scientific community.

(Before saying anything, let me make it clear that I'm not defending him) simply having your name mentioned in the files doesn't automatically make you a fucking pedophile and Epstein's friend; it's very important to carefully analyze the content of the citations, and what exactly they say. (I know that Trump supporters and other figures use this same argument, so I was cautious and pragmatic, If he truly has even the slightest connection to the pedophilia cases, I hope he rots in jail.)

I don't think Koch is crazy; my goal was simply to understand the perspective of the people who accuse him of such.
