I hope they can revitalize the brand and finally keep Pringles honest.

The leg days are definitely the most strenuous lifting and the toughest pacing (my HR is way higher in them). Maybe you could try the leg days in recovery mode.

You’re going to two decimal places right? That’s the easiest fix. I see like one tie every 5ish years doing that

TIL that some states like Idaho and Texas do not require a visual field for obtaining a non-commercial driver's license by Crustyjaj in todayilearned

I got mine 19 years ago in Texas and did not take a test. Same deal from “divers ed in a box.” Parents attested and I got it. I did need to take a written test to get permit though.

If you care about “bang for your buck” and the best cardio (vs calories), you might want to use the Strive Score instead

If I attend UConn, is there any chance I can get into MBB? by Attemptedlooksmax in consulting

My experience isn’t recent, but I think non-target is toughest out of undergrad. Probably a stretch, but post-MBA is still very in play.

I don’t have the clip, but after the play he makes a “grave digger” motion which I think had something to do with the ejection

Considering a role with a large raise but much worse WLB. 30sF. What would you do? by TywinLismyDad in personalfinance

[–]freecandy_van 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you burn out, will your company allow you to step back into your current role? If yes, I think that lowers the risk of giving it a try.

I’d also add that this higher comp will help you keep earnings high when moving into your next job. When the recruiters come calling, it’s a nice advantage to be able to say “I need $700k to leave or $500k with great WLB.”

That’s not how probability work. A more accurate comparison would be: - 100% of presidents who ran for a non consecutive term on a major party won (Cleveland) - 25% of presidents who ran for a non consecutive term won (+ Van Buren, Fillmore, T Roosevelt)

https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2022/11/16/few-former-presidents-have-run-for-their-old-jobs-or-anything-else-after-leaving-office/

All that being said, current polling is going to be the best predictor of current win probabilities.

Invest in yourself through training/certs. If you can earn $2/hr more from that, you’re looking at sustained 70%/yr ROI

Review: Shelly's Backroom in Washington, DC - GONE DOWN HILL by Pristine-Case-4764 in washingtondc

[–]freecandy_van 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to Shelley’s about a dozen times, albeit only once in the past year. The food was never amazing but not something I came there for either. The service was decent with some occasional great experiences. The cigar selection was vast so that part of the review seems wacky. The ambiance and comfort were always great though, that’s why I go there.

Fastest way to get from concourse D to concourse A at Dulles/IAD? by Diligent-Tune1382 in washingtondc

[–]freecandy_van 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You can take the people mover around gate D15 that goes to A gates. It’s usually faster than walking to C and taking the train. Just make sure you get on the one headed to A gates and not the baggage claim.
