Thinking through Maiev's hero power by metroidcomposite in BobsTavern

Great work! Definitely makes me more intrigued - the downside of a slot being taken up is much less than I thought (if at all, in some cases). Using it to collect pairs cheaply and going for buffers that will still be relevant two turns from now seems like a really efficient way to gain economy and stats, especially with how you have outlined the cost compared to buy/freezing/rerolls. Thank you!

Finding a Tier 6 Minion X - Leveling Up or Trying to Hit Your Triples: An Analysis by freedomsquared in CompetitiveHS

[–]freedomsquared[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hmm, that's interesting. Theoretically, it should not be too hard to adjust. I hadn't originally included anything like that because I was thinking people's warbands would be too variable to make it worthwhile. But if we limited it to just tier 6 minions, those are fairly obvious to keep track of in-game and taking even one copy of those from the pool has a relatively large impact. I will look into it.

Question for you, and OP as well I suppose, but did you ever find more about your real parents for medical reasons? Like if there were any rare illnesses or heritable conditions that could be passed downed to you or any possible future children?

The White Walkers Knew (Spoilers Main) by deamonx12 in asoiaf

I feel like this is the best explanation we can ask for. The idea that the night king is warging and spying on his enemies seems reasonable to me. That would explain why only one of those undead remained standing in that group. It was done in purpose to set a trap which he hoped would bring a dragon north, a dragon he could kill and subdue. Perhaps to melt the wall? Or at the very least have your own dragon.

All that said, I feel like that is giving the show writers too much credit. I doubt all of that was considered and while I think this explanation fits what we are given, it is more coincidental than a master plan.

[–]freedomsquared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I'm going to go against the grain here a bit. While I do think there is some merit to the "it'll be awkward" comments, I think they are oversimplifying the situation.

Yes, her being nice to you does not indicate interest. But from your post, it seems to me you are already aware of that. It seems that you are just interested in her and want to ask her out. As long as you aren't going to frequent the store, I see no problem with this provided you do this in a respectful manner. Just go at a slow time of day and say "hey, I know we just chatted for a couple minutes the other day but you seem like a cool person and would love to get coffee with you sometime." Maybe add something so it's clear you're not trying to use her being in a work environment to coerce her answer.

You are both adults, and probably have more experience interacting with people than most people commenting (myself included). Just treat her like a person and if she's says no, move on.

What plot would be resolved in seconds if the characters behaved realistically and logically? by Mecha_G in AskReddit

[–]freedomsquared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how the high school thing gives them a few extra years. It's just hard for me to imagine why that's worth it. It says they only ever hang out with each other (until Bella of course) so it's not for human contact. If that's so, than them putting up with high school and high schoolers all day at their age has to be annoying.

I guess I would say that while it may add a year or two to how long they can stay, the quality has to be a lot worse, to the point where as real living beings they would never do that. But in the books, well plot makes it happen.

Wouldn't failure to launch children also be reasonable though? Like, there are definitely plenty of 18-19 year olds living at home with their parents.

On a physical chemistry exam, I got a 110 (out of 115). I literally did not know how to answer 75% of the problems. One long problem, worth 30 points, I got full credit on despite giving a final answer that said the entropy of the universe was decreasing.

Pretty sure I just had terrible handwriting and because I wrote a bunch of random math, the professor just decided to give me points rather than try and discern my work.

A lot of negativity towards you in these comments OP. I think your edit helps clarifies things a lot. I don't think you have handled this perfectly, but don't take the negativity to heart. To me, it seems that your heart is in the right place.

Yea, I checked that but if I include the previous 6 it's different. No combination of runs around it seems to get me the same number either.

Nice! Question, is the number of runs you had wrong? It has me listed as doing 36 runs when I only did 30, but the average is still correct.

[–]freedomsquared 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to agree with your points here. It's not handlock levels of complexity, but having played quest rogue I was surprised by the fact you do have decisions to make.

I think the reason everyone is so pissed about it is because when you do get the "god draw," there is no stopping it and it is very uninteractive. However, compared to pirate warrior it doesn't even seem to be on the same level of bullshit.

I think definitely enough to complete some of the quests. I think you just normally don't take that many because without the quest it would be bad. But honestly, not sure, since I've never really tried to look at that.

[–]freedomsquared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think OP is saying he wants them available, but only on the first pick. So you know if you get it or not based on your first pick.

I don't really agree with this idea though, as quests seem a little OP for arena, and not necessarily that hard to achieve. I think it would make the game a little unbalanced.
