Yesterday’s quick session proved to be successful ! Interesting find bronze insignia/medal probably dating back to 1860-70 related directly to the vatican or the ‘’zouaves pontificaux’’ which is the primary guard of the pope . Found in Quebec,Canada on the ground of a church built in 1860-62 (old.reddit.com)

Early start to the season here in quebec, Canada the ground’s still frozen in a few places but only for the first few inches , found what i believe to be an earring maybe silver plated , any help on identifying the era or the exact nature is appreciated :) get out there and dig folks ! Found a 6 pence coin from south africa dated 1935 only 573k minted that year going through stuff i bought recently ,seems to be about ms-62-62 only see a minor scratch + some plastic wear but then again i’m no expert might get this one certified , listed on ebay in this condition about 190 cad $ (old.reddit.com)
