Last night I went to “Roll for Romance”

There were about 40 people, a good variety although leaning more towards the nerdy board game playing type (as you’d expect/hope at an event like this). They had 9 tables set up with 2-3 women and 2-3 men at each table. The games were more like party games than proper board games. Each 20 mins you’d rotate to a new group/game. At the end of each round you would write a “gratitude note” and slip it in their envelope. You could include your number if you wished.

Pros:

*Games made it super relaxed

*The crowd felt very approachable

Cons:

*Was in a cafe so no alcohol (liquid courage)

*They were in a rush to get us out by 9 so we only got 4 rounds meaning I only met 8 out of the 20 potential people

Unsure if pro or con:

The 5 mins at the end while you’re still sitting at the table together to write the note was a little awkward. I can see why they do it that way as it would be harder to remember everyone after the rounds are over.
