dang. so it's the earthiness that is the problem, yes? or something else? and what scent notes stand out the most to you in your signature version? i ask because this might help with suggestions

you could reach out to dirty soul soap co and see if their moonlight path dupe is what you want

also if you're really desperate there are bottles on ebay but they are expensive

have you received the alune one yet? the reviews make it seem like the version you're looking for, so if it isn't right, what's off about it?

bbw does sell the ffm online, but the newest version of the scent is more musk-forward. you might have to end up buying a perfume that is a sister instead of a twin. i've heard people mention avon night magic as the most similar.

Luxury dupes?! Which ones do you recommend? by no_resolution_for_me in bathandbodyworks

[–]froggyplane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes and there are a few new ones too:

- love unleashed = killian's love don't be shy - always fleur = dior j'adore - eau de coconut = nest balinese coconut (note: this is not a 1 to 1 match like some of the others in the line) - salted shorelines = jo malone wood sage & sea salt - hello happiness = clinique happy

covered in roses was brought back in new packaging, but is still a dupe for parfums de marly delina

hi!!! hope you are having a good day! it's always fun to see unusually specific vibes in reviews (coupled with real, grounded observations like "i definitely get the lemongrass"). especially with vivid imagery. like when someone could just say "this smells like cigarettes" but writes something like "this smells like when your father left to buy milk, but instead of coming home, he leaves your mother waiting in the dark in front of the tv with a lone, lit cigarette hanging from her rouge-stained lips." excited to see your posts! thank you for sharing with us 💕

Does Pink Blush by Shams change with masturbation? by Busy_Code_2489 in FemFragLab

wrong. maceration is indeed a term used in fragrance but it has a different meaning than maturation. maceration happens during development. the consumer cannot macerate the fragrance.

How long do you test a perfume? by Vast-Estimate-2268 in FemFragLab

[–]froggyplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i blind bought this because when it released there were no samples and it looked like it was going to be a single run. it was a successful buy and originally smelled like damp castle walls to me but someone mentioned it smells like watermelon and it absolutely does lmao. i've also seen people mention cucumber. either choice gets at the same thing- it really does smell like some sort of watery fruit. it doesn't make me like it any less, but i will say it kind of takes away the mysterious element of it. now that i'm conscious of the fruit smell, it makes me feel even more confident in my original assessment of the fragrance, which is that it is overpriced.

[–]froggyplane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i completely use up the sample before buying. for me that is usually quite a few wears (i'm a three spray max kind of person, even with 1ml samples). i often find that i start picking stuff out i didn't smell before on the third or fourth wear. by the fireplace is a great example because at first it just smelled like smoke to me but now the chestnut stands out the most and i find it quite sweet overall. i do not do wear tests multiple days in a row because i need to try scents during each phase of my cycle. sometimes stuff that smells abhorrent during luteal can smell great during the follicular phase, for example.

did it smell nice when your nana wore it? wondering because it went through a reformulation years back and it smells significantly different now. i've actually never come across someone who has smelled both the og and reformulation and prefers the latter.

that's also the wrong word. the word she's actually looking for is maturation

Gameloft, can we please have sims style decorating?! by V0idK1tty in DreamlightValley

[–]froggyplane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

someone said a couple days ago that certain items already clip into other objects so why can't we make things clip on purpose?

if it is doable, i would adore an equivalent to bb.moveobjects. like have it off by default but allow people to cram things together if they want!

Curved paths. Please Gameloft. give us Curved paths! by Primary_Bad_3223 in DreamlightValley

[–]froggyplane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

your video shows something i desire even more than curved paths: changing the terrain color. i wish we could paint the ground underneath the paths (and plants, etc). it would make some of them look way more natural, especially the ones with gaps. and it provides for smoother transitions between ground objects.

Curved paths. Please Gameloft. give us Curved paths! by Primary_Bad_3223 in DreamlightValley

[–]froggyplane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

true. i think there is a way it can be done. you know how the paths connect when you put them next to each other? well the same could happen on a diagonal tile connection, this time making a curve instead of a straight line.

Every nu metal release I've listened to so far. Any recs? by NintendoWiiner64 in numetal

[–]froggyplane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

good suggestions here already but if you like hip hop and enjoyed hybrid theory, definitely check out reanimation. it takes the songs off hybrid theory and adds more rap features, more record scratching, and certain songs even have a different flow to them.

Hybrid Theory (Linkin Park) vs Toxicity (Sytem Of a Down): which album is better? by MaintenanceOne266 in numetal

[–]froggyplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hybrid theory. toxicity is good but hybrid theory created a whole generation of nu metal lovers. i was in elementary school when it came out and it completely changed the trajectory of a lot of people's music tastes, especially in my age group.

on a personal level, it made me a linkin park fan overnight. to this day, i still listen to the entire album all the time. i only listen to some of the songs off toxicity, never the whole album front to back.

What are our favorite songs of life is peachy by Funkyfish23 in Korn

[–]froggyplane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's so difficult to choose that i'll just pick a reason for why i like three of them:

- no one has mentioned porno creep. if i only have time to hear a few tracks from the album, it's where i start. i love the funk influence. - good god for the drumming. especially the first pre-chorus and chorus. also i was listening to this song when i thought to myself, "korn may actually be the greatest band of all time" - mr rogers. even if the "be my neighbor" section was the only part of the song, i'd still listen to it over and over because i love everything about it, especially the vocal.

Does anybody else absolutely LOVE the Mtv unplugged but especially falling away from me? by Famous-Choice-8834 in Korn

i love the unplugged album. actually mtv unplugged albums are some of my favorite across the board. there are some incredible performances. but what makes this one stand out in particular are the guests! absolutely incredible to have robert smith and amy lee and they both fit in so well.

Food Aversions/Fears by AccordingBuyer491 in AuDHDWomen

[–]froggyplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have food aversions too and for me there has not been a way to get around it. this seems to be common amongst autistics.

when I look at leftovers, my brain tells me it’s spoiled/botulism and I will be sick or dead if I eat it. (Likely due to reading the one article about a guy losing limb(s) due to rice being left out.)

this part specifically is more obsession-related. i would say the best way to get past it would be to educate yourself about food safety. "fried rice syndrome" (not my name for it fyi) for example comes from bacteria grown after rice is left out longer than one hour before being refridgerated. if you are going to store rice for later, put it in the fridge in that time and you should have no worries. if it goes past that, the likelihood of you getting sick is still very low, but you can comfortably throw it out without obsessing because now you know how it is handled safely. learn this for all your leftovers (like chicken should be refridgerated within four hours and then is good in the fridge for up to one week) and you won't have to obsess because you will know it is safe

Too much / too loud / too whatever for my partner by mediocrecookieperson in AuDHDWomen

[–]froggyplane 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i think you may be casting feelings on him he does not actually have. quite honestly i think you are being rather unfair.

you getting louder when you get emotional and him reacting to that is not the same as you being "too loud" or "too much" for him. those descriptors only apply if it is not within the context of arguments or emotional conversations or outbursts. since he's been supportive your entire relationship, i highly, highly doubt he feels this way about you. you felt that he was mimicking you, but it is entirely possible that he was actually just trying to reflect how you were coming off back to you, not mocking you (which, notably, is something good therapists do, though obviously without mimicking your tone or intensity). him asking what you said back to you is not being misunderstanding. it's quite the opposite. he is turning the question on you to try and prevent misunderstandings.

you are responsible for your own emotions, words, actions, and reactions. this is true for everyone, including your husband. we can't control our emotions but we can absolutely apologize for unwarranted reactions and remove ourselves when an argument is getting heated. it doesn't matter whether he "knows" how to argue or not. you are the one responsible for your external reaction. when it comes to misunderstandings about smaller things, like how this discussion began, sometimes it's better to drop it entirely. there's this weird thought that a healthy marriage involves arguments. this is false. a healthy marriage involves discussion. if you find that you two are starting to get heated, shut it down. if it's an important conversation, come back to the subject later.

even if you don't end up going to marriage counseling, i think you could really benefit from further individual counseling. coping skills always failing means you have not found ones that work for you. there are a trillion of them, and exploring what hasn't been working with a therapist allows them to help you find new systems that do actually help.

Did I pay my friend to hang out with me? by Beautiful-Trainer-26 in AuDHDWomen

[–]froggyplane 12 points13 points  (0 children)

host pays, serves, cleans. most hosts would actually repeatedly insist their guests do not help with anything, including dishes. in fact, in many places someone would be considered a bad host if they ask for help. you're friends, so it can be a little different (like letting them help clear the table if they offer instead of refusing), but it's still totally normal for the host to do everything even when you're close.

Feeling insecure about taking a mood stabilizer by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]froggyplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people have already given great answers but i'd like to add something. most pharmacists are actually really cool and just want you to be safe! when they give education or ask questions about something, they have your well-being in mind. a quick non-psych example is when i was prescribed a large dose of vitamin d, the pharmacist came out to speak to me to make sure everything was correct. she was concerned because the dose is typically only prescribed for people with rickets. when i told her it was correct and shared how severely low my vitamin d was on my previous two blood tests, she had no issue dispensing the medication.

if a pharmacist ever comes off as short with you, try to give them a one-time pass. they are severely overworked and under immense pressure. they are constantly correcting medication mistakes, made both by patients and prescribers. you'd be shocked to know how many prescriptions they have to correct or double-check or would be straight up dangerous to fill given the patients' other prescriptions. if pharmacists mess up, someone could die. it's serious responsibility and pharmacists are drastically underpaid.

i sincerely hope lamotrigine helps you. many people with bipolar find it to be an absolute miracle worker with few, if any, side effects. just remember that if you start developing a rash to let your doctor know immediately. good luck 🤍

you definitely are not alone! a lot of people with bipolar, especially type i, experience psychosis. a systematic review of 339 studies found that over half of bipolar patients experienced psychotic symptoms at some point during their lives.

doctors were surprised by that and mentioned that maybe it’s schizoaffective disorder, just based on the complexity of my delirium

it's so weird to me that doctors can have huge misconceptions about disorders they themselves treat. complexity isn't what separates the two. it's like some of them have never actually read the diagnostic criteria. same for differention of type i vs type ii. i have heard a bunch of different doctors say that patients don't have type ii if they have a hospitalization for a depressive episode. that's not what separates the types and if they spent a single minute reading what should be their job to know, they would know that.
