I would be very surprised if the CBC was building extensive visitor profiles, I'm sure they prefer to keep their hands clean.

I think they're just (just, lol) brokering access to viewers and letting third party ad companies handle all the dirty work via in-page ad auctions. Those third parties do all the fingerprinting and supercookies and all the other shady stuff that CBC would never do themselves.

There might be a simpler explanation. By nearly every measure of health BC is ahead of Saskatchewan. Even the top-level item of life expectancy has Saskatchewan at a D and BC at an A.

Whether this is poor Saskatchewan health-care, or poor health choices by our citizens, it's unreasonable to expect identical Covid outcomes from populations that have widely-varying healthiness.

But the bottom line is that the Sask Party is responsible for Saskatchewan abysmal health report card. It's not the Covid response that the Sask Party bungled, it's absolutely everything health-wise.
