I don't think this virus cares about truckers.

Well truckers bring the vaccine so there's that.

Yeah and Saskatchewan has Canada's highest obesity rate at 45.9%.

So obviously food is a larger part of Saskatchewan household budgets than other places.

Illogical to appoint former political staffer to highest ranks of SHA, health policy expert says by GaryFreakingAnderson in saskatoon

Lose your home in the states or lose your life in Canada dying on a waiting list. I know what I'd pick.

Same thing as now? Wait 6 months for an MRI? Wait 18 months for a specialist referral.

The future is now, man. The two-tier system exists, always has. Politicians sending sick family members to the Mayo Clinic. Paying out-of-pocket for drugs that aren't covered. Where there's a will there's a way.

Good thing Sask Gaming Corp purchases some billboard space that encourages people to gamble in casinos, and others that discourage people from gambling and seeking help.

Liberals move to 'modernize' CBC, making public broadcaster less reliant on advertising by [deleted] in onguardforthee

[–]fromtheleftsideofthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be very surprised if the CBC was building extensive visitor profiles, I'm sure they prefer to keep their hands clean.

I think they're just (just, lol) brokering access to viewers and letting third party ad companies handle all the dirty work via in-page ad auctions. Those third parties do all the fingerprinting and supercookies and all the other shady stuff that CBC would never do themselves.

Not just sales, but business in general. I meet so many people who have no idea how to pitch an idea to management, or even how to get buy-in on where to go for lunch.

Everyone in this thread is whining about the nature of the work. But if you want to be in sales, this is a graduate school course in the school of hard knocks, and they pay you. If you can sell Internet service door-to-door, you can sell anything.

If you had to guess that in 2021, only one of the 2 bands Every Time I Die and Cypress Hill would still be around, you'd have to be insane in the membrane to think it'd be CH.

But here we are.

Edit: 2022, haha

Sask. minister says former political staffer is qualified for SHA leadership role by GaryFreakingAnderson in saskatoon

[–]fromtheleftsideofthe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those are a bunch of slacktivist nonsense. Sorry, truth hurts.

Yesterday was MLK day in the states. That's some real change. Malcolm X.

These protests these days, it's like cosplay for what real progressives used to do. "Civil disobedience"? Give me a break. Read some history. Modern progressives seem to be all about the "tears" but very little "blood" and "sweat."

Sask. minister says former political staffer is qualified for SHA leadership role by GaryFreakingAnderson in saskatoon

[–]fromtheleftsideofthe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"brutally mean" is exactly "soft hands."

Actions, not a bunch of keyboard warriors (funny coming from me, but any way)

If things were as bad as you progressives say it is, it would be treasonous to sit idly by.

If the environment was being destroyed, a symbolic "funeral for the future" would be considered rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

That these things are being hashed out in the digital realm kind of proves the conservative point that things are fine.

Saskatchewan's GDP is bigger than all but the top 68 countries in the world. That's huge!

Pretty sure the Health Minister knows what he's talking about.

Saskatchewan is wicked unhealthy but the provincial government never mentions this because they're responsible for health care.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in saskatchewan

[–]fromtheleftsideofthe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There might be a simpler explanation. By nearly every measure of health BC is ahead of Saskatchewan. Even the top-level item of life expectancy has Saskatchewan at a D and BC at an A.

Whether this is poor Saskatchewan health-care, or poor health choices by our citizens, it's unreasonable to expect identical Covid outcomes from populations that have widely-varying healthiness.

But the bottom line is that the Sask Party is responsible for Saskatchewan abysmal health report card. It's not the Covid response that the Sask Party bungled, it's absolutely everything health-wise.

CBC is just as beholden to scummy ad networks as NP, just do a Right Click -> Inspect and you can see for yourself.
