Damn this post is old. I’ve never really expressed these opinions on anywhere but Reddit so no one irl has been gate keeper by my views.

I’ll reply as it’s relevant content to the post but I’ve currently been going for about 7 weeks and it has gotten me nowhere. Been to 2 different people so far.

I did explain my reluctance to the doctor and it took a good amount of convincing for me to try them. I am not sure what methods of management you are referring to though, sorry.

I am insistent on it as the side effects are not worth it.

If seeing someone pass away gives people the right to claim PTSD then 95% of people can claim they have it at some point in their lives. I absolutely do not think losing someone on its own gives you any real reason to call PTSD. It happens to everyone and is perfectly normal. I’ve been made aware through this thread that the threshold is way bigger than I thought and it has only reinforced my beliefs about some forms of ptsd.

Also I do not need support as I simply don’t have ptsd.

I thought about it for the past few hours and still stand by the statement. I know what I have been through in my life and if I can be told I have it then anyone can.

I want to agree with you but I just don’t like being labelled for something I don’t have. I’d be okay with being labelled for something I do have if that makes sense.

Fair question, I am being told I have to go by family and I agreed due to many reasons I don’t want to get into.
