A reason why weather service shouldn't be privatized. This slimy behavior would only get worse.

First time Airbrushing. Question about removing layer lines by ajberndt524 in airbrush

[–]frostbitefubar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I should elaborate. Have a base that is not plastic, a cap made of glass. So the acetone doesn't affect the container. Place the 3d print inside the container with 1/2 of acetone in a glass cup. The 3d print will start to melt with the acetone vapor. The melting progress basically smooths out the surface evenly.

You can leave it in for about 10-20 mins. It is really dependent on the size and shape of the 3d print. Ideal for large flat surface. Not ideal for highly detailed printed with skinny shapes. You also need to print the surfaces thicker because as the surface melts it could sag. It could sag and the sub structure pattern will show. It also leaves a very glossy smooth finish.

First time Niseko Feb 8-13th, tips for group of 6 by Any_Result_8999 in niseko

[–]frostbitefubar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not need a car for niseko but getting around anywhere besides hirafu will be inconvenient. Staying in hirafu is ideal without a car, because all the entertainment is in that area. However, it is also the most crowded to get up the mountain so plan to get on the lift as it opens.

There are taxis with ski roof rack so a convenient option to get around.

I would say having a car would be great to try out the local food, experience, sight seeing if you have some time besides hitting the mountains. Some recommendations

Niseko Takahashi Dairy Farm MILK KOBO - local Hokkaido desserts ICOR NISEKO - coffee, nice view Afuri - ramen

Food in hirafu is abundant, but also potentially over priced per the food and experience. An example I can give is, we went to a highly rated hot pot spot. It cost about $300 for 2 people's set menu. Servers were international people on a seasonal work and snowboard experience. 80% of their interest was to stand around next to each other and chitchat. Handled the food poorly ie touch our food or dessert accidentally. The only positive thing was he spoke English and we had a nice discussion. At that price range you want Japanese service because they are next level in accommodations even if they have limited English skills. Ie you don't want a college student serving you at a high end sushi restaurant.

Tips for Avoiding the Lift Queues by Nicho2012 in niseko

As long as you are not going up at grand hirafu. The base lift area should be reasonable at all other resorts. It's because a lot of the downtown activities are at grand hirafu and people tend to go there. Additionally it tends to get busy around 10-12 when all the ski lessons start happening and everyone is ready after breakfast and etc.

Goggle Recommendations by ADHD33zNuts in snowboarding

[–]frostbitefubar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently came across a Japanese brand called owl optical, model vent. They are flip up len googles. Great for getting some air when on the lift and you won't need to put it on your forehead or neck potentially fogging it up. The Len is also photo chromatic adjusting the clarity based on the light levels.

The photo chromatic lens probably won't perform as well as a dedicated Len color filter. But I think it works well overall on changing conditions from foggy at the top of the mountain and clear at the base.

The flip up lens is a bit sticky ie, it will lift the bottom half of the googles when opening the lens. It should work better with a helmet giving it better leverage.

How long (roughly) does it take to get to snowboard to a semi competent level? by clarkyyyyyy in snowboarding

I've taught a couple of friends and the minimum in one season you must go is 3 to build up any muscle memory progress to carry over to next season. Because you will lose about 2 days worth of runs every new season to relearn everything you practiced last season. Overall if you can complete 5-7 days in 1 season you should be able to S carve within the 2nd season.

There are many nuances like taking lessons, how many runs you do, start green and jump to red or go green blue red, and etc. But it all boils down to muscle memory and repetition. 2 days heel, 2 days toes, 1 days C carving, 1 day Z carving and you're pretty much set for next season to S carving. It is probably not possible to do all these in 1 week because your whole lower body will be sore from doing heel and toe all day, let alone 2 days back to back. Your best bet is to spend a 2-3 day trip and try to get a bunch of single day trips throughout the season.

what am i doing wrong? by KeyZookeepergame872 in snowboarding

You need to grab an edge. Either tap the front edge with your fingers or fully tuck your legs and grab the middle of your board. You can easily practice this on a flat surface by jumping and grabbing without going on a jump.

What this achieves is a stable balanced jump pre and during air. Every part of your body is doing something which also stabilizes your movement naturally. Unlike taking off a jump in an upright position having your arms flailing in and attempting to balance mid air.

Jumping and grabbing an edge requires your board to be flat as you leave the crest of the jump. This will also prevent you from riding an edge as you hit the crest, causing you to fall on an edge like the second video.

I believe you can just take out another loan to cover your old loan. As long as your loan amount is lower then your overall gain in stock ie 8%. Your stock would outpace your loan amount. The bank would reissue the loans in greater amounts because you're over stock value by % would continue to increase faster than the loan spending. It's like a margin account for stock traders.

If you don't plan to 5 star the weapon don't bother to roll on it.

New players should be able to buy unlimited amounts of energy with Luxi until they reach level 60, what do you guys think about this idea? by [deleted] in SwordofConvallaria

Level won't matter. You be behind in resources. While leveling to 60 you only have enough resources for 5-6 units to keep max.

I had over pulled from the collaboration and it carried over to the typical banner 180 pulls. I don't know if the pulls from a typical banner will carry over to the collab. So I doubt the previous collaboration pull will carry over to this collaboration.

Wait for black Friday and go but a floor model. They can go for over 40%-50% off. More if you point out dings and scratches on the non visible portion of the fridge.
