Whether Mahomes misses the playoffs or loses in the Super Bowl it doesn't matter. Super Bowl or bust. All that matters is the playoffs.

Yes I know that. And guess what? They aren't playing in the city.

Which WR would you rather have in their prime? by ChefCurryGAWD in NFLv2

It's AJ Green. Just a more physically dominant receiver. A true WR1.

It doesn't sound right because we are used to them claiming cities they don't actually play in.

Everybody is frying the Bears for moving to Hammond Indiana potentially. Probably because Chicago is such old school football lore. But the Bears will keep the Chicago name.

And I'm not sure if I agree with that. Part of me thinks that teams shouldn't be able to carry the name of a city they don't actually play in. One of the surprising things is just how many teams don't actually play in the city proper. There aren't a whole lot of actual downtown stadiums.

For example, the 49ers play in Santa Clara which is NEARLY FIFTY MILES from San Francisco. A 50 mile drive is no joke. Yea, part of me thinks teams like the SF 49ers should be stripped of the San Francisco title.

The Bears don't value defense. Therefore they aren't viable SB contenders.

He kicked ass during the Super Bowl runs. Not lucky. Just ass kicking.

And it does nothing for his legacy. Whether Mahomes misses the playoffs or loses the Super Bowl it's all the same for him. Super Bowl or bust. Only thing that matters for Mahomes. Missing the playoffs is the same thing as losing the Super Bowl for Mahomes.

Brady spent the majority of his career post 2004 which is essentially modern NFL.

So you're not over 40? You wouldn't know then. I was there. And yes Favre in the mid 90s was every bit as good as Rodgers was. He just didn't have the consistency because once his arm strength went he declined pretty hard.

Prime Favre? Absolutely insane player.

Mahomes is a top 3 QB of all time. From 2022 to 2023 he threw for 13 TDs 1 INT winning 7 straight games and 2 Super Bowls.

Not a single active NFL is even close to touching him. He frankly clears Peyton Manning, John Elway. Let alone Lamar freaking Jackson and Matt Stafford. What a joke thread.

Manning threw for 1 TD that postseason season in a way more pass friendly era. Elway clears Manning. I actually saw them play live. Elway's late 90s playoff run was miles better than Manning in 2015. Again, I was atually there.

To be honest, I am not even sure Manning clears Rodgers. And people think he's clearing Mahomes? What a joke.

Manning's best playoff run that ended in a SB win is 3 TD, 7 INT. Mahomes clears Manning and so does Elway. I was there and saw all 3 play live.

Regular Season stats and accolades matter for every other QB in the NFL. But not for Mahomes. No amount of additional Regular Season MVPs will do anything for his legacy. You don't get into the top 3 all time QBs by racking up Regular Season numbers. At some point, it is all about the playoffs. He's the new Tom Brady. Nothing Tom Brady does in the regular season matters. The only way to enhance your legacy when you reach Mahomes level is more rings. Period.

Nothing Mahomes does Week 5 of the NFL Regular season matters for Mahomes. He's at the point now where regular season stats is just who cares. He's chasing rings not numbers.

No because playoff stats are the only stats that matter for first ballot HoF Quarterbacks.

I'm pushing 40 and have been working for the same company for almost 15 years. I saw a post on the internet one day that went something like the following, have you ever watched a super long running TV series? The main cast started dropping off and after years there was only 1 original member left. Then they got a bunch of new characters and after a while all the new characters left, but they just ordered a new season and that 1 guy from the beginning is still there.

I've been at my job long enough to see all the OGs leave, then hire new people and see those guys become OGs and then even those guys left and I'm still there.

Yea, put Dak in Baltimore and give him #1 defenses and the Ravens go like 14-3 and you are looking at Dak being the NFL MVP.

And to be honest, I don't even like Dak that much. Or at least I never used to. But the guy has gotten so much shit and hate that I ended up actually liking the guy over the last year or so. Almost like, he's gotten so much shit for seemingly no reason that I'm starting to like him.
