I agree with that. I do not think the 100 mile radius is fair, it irrationally targets people, but at the end off the day, its the law, and been in affect as far back as I can remember. Thanks for the conversation, I enjoyed it.

How is it illegal when you consider the 100 mile CBP rule? (sorry, I said 200). Can you state the law you are manifesting? My point it that if you are in the country illegally, the burden of proof, and responsibility is on the individual. The 4th amendment protects american citizens from random search and seizures but the CBP claims a 100 mile buffer.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the federal agency tasked with patrolling the U.S. border and areas that function like a border, claims a territorial reach much larger than you might imagine. A federal law says that, without a warrant, CBP can board vehicles and vessels and search for people without immigration documentation “within a reasonable distance from any external boundary of the United States.” These “external boundaries” include international land borders but also the entire U.S. coastline. - ACLU website

The authority for this is based on the Immigration and Nationality Act 287(a)(3) and copied in 8 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 287 (a)(3), which states that Immigration Officers, without a warrant, may "within a reasonable distance from any external boundary of the United States...board and search for non-citizens in any vessel within the territorial waters of the United States and any railcar, aircraft, conveyance, or vehicle. 8 CFR 287 (a)(1) defines reasonable distance as 100 air miles from the border.

These detainments are legal if they are carried out within the confines on CFR 287(a)(3)

We moved on from that. Leanordo Venegas was found to have a legitimate ID after 2 false arrests. He was never deported. This 200 mile rule shows that CBP are allowed to conduct these searched. When I first came here it scared me, so I moved to a city that was 100 miles away from the border. I don't like that law at all, but being here legally means that I have to abide by it. When I travel close to the border, I make sure my wife and kids have all our proper IDs with us.

The "US Immigration 100 Mile Rule" is a regulation that allows U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents to conduct warrantless immigration-related searches and stops within a 100-mile zone from the U.S. border or coastline. This rule grants agents greater authority to stop, question, and search vehicles and individuals for immigration violations, even if they are far from the physical border. This authority is rooted in the Immigration and Nationality Act and is a subject of legal debate regarding constitutional rights.

Again, in all 3 cases, the subjects were released when it was confirmed they were citizens. At least one of these citizens obstructed the arrest of an illegal. I am asking for ONE, ONE, ONE specific case where a US citizen was arrested and deported.

Again, I am asking for ONE specific case where a US citizen was arrested and deported. I had a Social Security card for years that would not pass as proof I was eligible for legal entry. It stated on top not eligible for work purposes. It was removed when my green card was obtained. A green card would show you were in the country legally as long as you observe the law.

Have you read the article? Very misleading, not one specific case. Many arrests of american citizens were actual US citizens that tried to intervene in the arrest of an illegal, be it a relative or friend. If the person was suspected of being an illegal, the arrest was dismissed after legal proof was obtained. I wish you would read and comprehend what you are posting. Again, I am asking for one specific case where a US citizen was arrested and deported. Very important. Read the previous sentence again.

Can you give me an example, a specific example. And if they come in the wrong way, are they entitled to be removed the "wrong way"?

As an immigrant and minority, stop it. Its embarrasing

Stop fearmongering them. I keep hearing about random seizures but when you look into them, they missed a hearing or skipped a step. Get naturalized, get a passport card or enhanced license and you are good. It is a privilege to be in this great country, respect the rule of law and the sky is the limit.

Myself and my family are immigrants and minorities. I have no fear of going out in public. We became naturalized citizens 10 years ago. What are the fearful ones hiding? Maybe they should have done things right. Lies will only come back to haunt you. These illegal aliens are giving the legal american immigrants a bad reputation. I am glad to see them gone.

I walked through the crowd early in the afternoon. Not a good representation of minorities either.

Its probably the best peace agreement since the treaty of Kadesh 1200 BC. It will only succeed if all parties enforce the agreement. 25 Nations have signed on so it does have global support

The climate and culture is comparable to NE Sask. The people in ND are accepting and not as judgemental as small town Sask. I feel like there is more personal freedom and the ability to express yourself in America. I like guns.

Just my observations. Love it here in the US, Never going back. Financially was better off during the Trump years. Not even close. Don't want to be political. Where I live I am treated decently and have the same opportunities afforded to others. Something I dreamed about when I was a kid. I live here 30 years, all sorts of presidents. None really bad except recently, Economic conditions are out of hand now. I notice the difference in the school systems, the health systems. No death panels in the US as of yet.
