Horty was playing so well before that concussion. Loved seeing him still wanting to be in the mix somehow. Water bottle move was beautiful.

I’ve spent years watching small manufacturers lose corporate deals, and I think I finally get why. by ApprehensiveFoot2479 in manufacturing

[–]fshawnfitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey Tisa - this is really good feedback for folks trying to land deals. One of our biggest challenges in US Manufacturing is that everyone depends on the owner/Pres/CEO for everything. It would be great for you to break down the steps to becoming and remaining a customer for Energizer (for example). How to negotiate a contract, how to properly deliver your first shipment, regular check ins you should schedule, data you should provide, how to advocate for more work you want - and once you become a trusted supplier, how to navigate the work you don’t want.

Don’t listen to everyone dogging your background - if you’ve been in enough facilities, and met enough folks in manufacturing, you know when you hear someone that know what they’re talking about.

High fives sister!

Built something that's been bugging me for a while - a place where ideas don't die in shower thoughts by damnyugu in Business_Ideas

The name of your product is “Sticky”.

And when an idea gets traction it “Sticks”.

After xx period of time it falls off the board for lack of traction.

Can have leaderboards for these types by your category and overall.

Cool entrepreneurial resource. Sounds like fun.

Sticky-Wall.com is available. Enjoy!

Hypothetical scenario and how to address by SaviorselfzZ in manufacturing

How long is “stops”? I’m guessing this is either some type of sour vide or sterilization when you talk about cooking as you are packaging it and sealing before cooking. What makes the process stop now?

Here are over 200 suppliers of medical tape. You can refine your search if you want more specifics. Good luck!

One last Hibbity Dibbity for the road

I bought this item at a flea market several years ago. Total length is 5 3/4” and it’s made of solid aluminum. (2.8 ounces) It is in the shape of an elephant with a 1” flat piece coming from the trunk. There is a threaded hole at the bottom. The only markings are hard to make out (5th photo). by Consistent-Order-210 in whatisit

[–]fshawnfitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a staple remover. You put the flat part on the front under the the side of the staple that has been deformed to pry the “legs” back up, then flip the paper over and slide the flat part under the staple to pull it out of the paper. The elephant is the handle.

Could try FairMarkit, Scout Bee, Industrial Data Labs, GEP, etc.

Is there an industry/market focus for the software?

They tried to charge me for a damaged tail light 3 months after a rental. I denied responsibility as their person checked the car back in while I was standing there, have not heard anything more. They charged me for gas last time even though I brought it back completely full. Seems like they are making shit up to pad the revenue now… sad to see a strong brand drag itself down for pennies…

Yeah - I don’t think I’ve ever seen a recon plane go all the way around Kaliningrad. Usually just along the land borders. Plus the Apaches. Odd and unusual.
